With California barely opening up there’s still a lot of good 2021’s on the board in NorCal. The schedules are being put in place, and we'll get some games in April. PH wants to give these Seniors the spot light before moving on to the other classes. California is just a bit behind the other states as far as high school hoops. Here’s a group we’ve seen play recently.

[player_tooltip player_id="1113026" first="Harrison" last="Carrington"] 6’6 CG of Sacred Heart Prep HS.

A big guard who handles the ball up top often, with good vision to see the whole court, he makes the long up court pass as well as the cross court pass. He uses his body, and a good jump stop to get into the paint for jumpers over taller defenders. He shows good patience, and can control the pace at times when on point. He can knock down 3’s at a good rate. He’s long, and can challenge shooters on the wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="1111518" first="Malik" last="Madison"] 6’8 PF of Sacramento HS.

He’s an active player on the defensive end, challenging, changing, and blocking shots. He’s become an aggressive player inside, with a solid body while defending post players. His offense is a bit behind, but he does have an improving jumper, and jump hook inside. He will dunk on you if he gathers himself properly. He works hard, has a good upside.

[player_tooltip player_id="1169527" first="Austin" last="Ehrlicher"] 6’5 W/F of Maria Carrillo HS.

A good sized player who plays a balanced game, he’ll contribute, whether it’s getting wide running the lanes in transition, rebounding to starting the break, or making hard cuts to the basket. He has a solid body to help out on the boards, and has a reliable shot from the corner and wings. He has decent footwork when he’s in the post.

[player_tooltip player_id="1169532" first="Pawlos" last="Habtom"] 6’4 G/F of Valley Christian HS.

He’s a fairly athletic player with a good body. He’ll get his fair share of rebounds, and put backs, as he goes up strong off two feet. He’s made steady improvement as a player who needs to develop his game away from the basket. His improved ball handling allows him to attack the basket in the half court, and transition. He has good foot speed, and movement to defend multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id="775747" first="Jarin" last="Edwards"] 6’2 G/W of Bishop O’ Dowd HS.

Edwards is a strong guard who doesn’t mind the physical part of the game at all. He’s a tough competitor who at 6’2 will bang with the big boys inside for rebounds. He’s expanded his game away from the basket where he’s become an effective driver into the paint for pull ups, and contact finishes. He has a solid lower body, and can defend taller players in the post area.
