2022: Stock Risers

<p>Prep Hoops has been to North Charleston, Myrtle Beach (2 times), Rock Hill, North Augusta and Florence this past month on the Grassroots Circuit. Lets take a look at some players who will be Stock Risers in the next rankings update which will be in May 2021. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837320" first="Lebron" last="Thomas"] - Trinity Collegiate (Darlington) - Florence International </strong></p> <p>Thomas plays a bit off the grid with a local team in Florence International. Thomas a left-handed downhill guard helped Trinity Collegiate to a SCISA Class 3A State Championship this past season and MVP Honors. Thomas started his career off at Lee Central HS before coming over to the Titans this last November 2020. Thomas really gets to the ball to the basket at a good clip and lives on the free throw line at times. Davis a rangy guard is great in passing lanes with his ability to pickup deflections on the defensive end. Davis has good court vision from out top and can really make teammates happy with his crisp passing skills. Davis still must work on his perimeter skills down the road has all the tools to be a nice fit at the four year level.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/03/382EE3E9-46B9-4C64-A74E-54EA6A5B7214.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1159536" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/03/382EE3E9-46B9-4C64-A74E-54EA6A5B7214-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a> </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837326" first="Heston" last="Foster"] - Virtual Academy / Home School - Carolina Ballin </strong></p> <p>Foster will make a debut back in the rankings after not playing this past season. Foster was taken out when he opted out and didn't play this year. Foster recently scored 45 points in a game for Carolina Ballin at Big Shots Myrtle Beach. Foster has been a bit of a journeyman the past few years attending Cathedral Academy and Northwood Academy during his freshman and sophomore seasons. Foster does his best work around the paint with his ability to score the ball. Foster won't overwhelm you with athleticism but sure is crafty around the cup.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/03/4C98771B-4B98-429E-9CB9-84C0BB3CE2ED.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1159489" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/03/4C98771B-4B98-429E-9CB9-84C0BB3CE2ED-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837349" first="Samuel" last="Perry"] - Christ Church - Team South Carolina </strong></p> <p>Perry played really well recently at the LOCI Icebreaker in North Augusta. Perry fresh off a Class 2A State Championship has continued his solid play. Perry really gets his teammates involved with his unselfish play from the back court. Perry is crafty with the ball in his hands and never seems to overextend plays and doesn't turn the ball over. Dodd is a TWEENER combo forward on the floor. Dodd handled the rock in transition at times and felt very comfortable doing just that. Dodd was able to knock down some elbow jumpers while inside-out on the floor. Dodd brought a good arsenal of tools to the game and was just effective all weekend long with his play for Team South Carolina. </p>
