The new 2022 rankings are out.

This season ended up being a short AIA season, a full Grind Session season, a condensed CAA season and a longer AAU season with showcase formats.

This 2022 class is hoping the same thing doesn’t happen to them as the 2021 class and have a few live periods in the summer. Either Section-7 or AAU tournaments.

We look at the Top-10 SG’s in the 2022 class:

1. [player_tooltip player_id="1074744" first="Shaedon" last="Sharpe"] Dream City

-One of the top juniors in the country makes it look easy. His pull-up from mid-range is a thing of beauty as he rises higher then anyone in state and has range on his three.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="701238" first="Garrison" last="Phelps"] St. Mary’s

-Another high flyer is one of the better athletes in the AIA. He loves attacking the cup and defends the top player on every team. His perimeter shooting keeps improving.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="706704" first="Dominic" last="Capriotti"] Phhoenix Prep

-A strong high IQ guard is tough as they come. He is a top rebounder for his position and plays with a high motor plus he can shoot.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="827004" first="Blessing" last="Nwotite"] Paradise Honors (Pictured)

-A top defensive guard loves scoring it in the lane. He is rapidly improving his perimeter shooting and will defend the 1-4 for the Panthers.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="827033" first="Nikko" last="Pentelute"] Gilbert

-A tough and fearless guard had a great year. His mid-range game is one of the better ones in the AIA and he makes and takes big shots. (He was my Co-big shot maker in 5A).

7. [player_tooltip player_id="1074790" first="Stephen" last="Coleman"] Hillcrest Prep

-Another top notch defender has good length and athleticism. He has a good motor plus can shoot the 3 and slash to the cup. Should have a breakout year next season for the Tigers.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="1029812" first="Anderson" last="Wilson"] Glenview College Prep

-A jack of all trades lefty guard is very versatile. He can play the point forward role or two-guard. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range. hit the 3 and get downhill plus play above the rim.

5 Others:

5. [player_tooltip player_id="936769" first="Cameron" last="Coraggio"] Horizon

-A long and lean shooter is another with a pure stroke. He has a little wiggle to get passed his defender and score it. He relocates to open spots and the son of a coach plays a smart floor game.
