CLASS 4A WPIAL CHAMPIONSHIP:
The WPIAL Class 4A Final took place at North Allegheny High School between the Lincoln Park Leopards and the North Catholic Trojans. Lincoln Park, the number two seed, defeated North Catholic 66-57. Both teams were in the 3A title game last season with North Catholic winning that battle, but these two programs moved up in classification this year to meet again for a championship. The game was like a heavyweight boxing match. Neither team would waver until the end when the Leopards pulled away with another WPIAL championship. That marks their third title in four years at Lincoln Park.
