The 6-1 lefty guard showcased his all-around scoring ability throughout the week, routinely getting to the rim for easy buckets, using his quick first step to blow by overmatched defenders. He’s a smooth offensive player who scores at a high clip and can make plays for others.

The Division I prospect who holds a handful of mid-major offers was consistently strong all week, tying with Van Essen for the scoring lead with 65 points during the week. He struggled a bit with his jumper, particularly from the arc, all week, but he got to the free-throw line at a ridiculous clip, averaging just under 10 attempts a game.

Mackie delivered one of the top three performances of the tournament (Van Essen’s championship and Ellis’ semifinal in 3A) with his 34 points on 13-14 shooting outing in the Falcons’ quarterfinal blowout against Van Meter. He was really good in their loss to Boyden-Hull in the semifinals as well, and if the consolation games were played this year, he would’ve certainly led the field in total points during the week. The athletic 6-1 lead guard has already committed to play at Upper Iowa.
