The event began on Friday, March 11th, continued with Pool play on Saturday, and concluded with Championship games on Sunday Afternoon. The event featured a total of 46 teams. It also featured some promising big men. In this article, we take a look at the top bigs from the event.
Gabriel Jones 6’7 Southern Assault 2025 – Have to salivate at Jones’ potential. Once a game he would grab a rebound or block a shot that helped give you a glimpse of his ceiling. He is deliberate in his move, however, he can turn over his left shoulder and finish with his strong hand.
Kody Williams 6’7 CY Fair Elite 2025 – Long fluid athlete, Williams moves well. He’s active and did a good job of challenging shots. He was an offensive rebounding magnet grabbing several flat-footed boards.
Jalen Montonati 6’4 C PWB 2026 – Montonati is a high IQ big. He has a nice feel for the game but does not forget who he is. He played on the back end for a long athletic PWB squad. Montaonati didn’t get to every shot, but he blocked enough to be considered one of the top rim protectors from the event.
Jack Egginton 6’4 C AZ Select Tuscon 2025 (featured image) – Egginton has quickly become one of my favorite players to watch. He’s a max effort guy that doesn’t need to score to impact a game. That does not mean he can’t, he has a developing post-game, but when all else fails Egginton can just go get it off the glass for putback buckets.
Logan Knol 6’4 PF Oklahoma Flight 2025 – Knol is a game wrecker. He had 21 in the full game I watched, and throughout the weekend he seemed to be performing every time I got a glimpse at him A relentless, boarder, Knol was one of the best out of area rebounders I witnessed during the event.
