The Kansas City area is littered with a bunch of 3 point snipers, from the catch and shoot guys, to the pull up off the dribble specialists, and of course, those that have a little bit of both in their game. Today we will be looking at the top 6 three point shooters in the Kansas City Area across both sides of the border with a minimum of 60 makes on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1042402" first="Connor" last="Arment"], 5’11 Guard, 2021, Barstow: Recently picking up a big time offer from Central Missouri, Arment is an absolute gamer on the basketball floor, let alone a tremendous 3 point shooter. He is one of those players that has the whole arsenal from beyond the three point stripe knocking them down in the transition pull up game, catch and shoot off drive and kicks, and can come off screens firing. He hit a total of 80 three’s on the year and shot 40% in doing so. Arment hit a number of big time bombs during the course of the year in big moments as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="946201" first="Miles" last="Blandi"], 6’4 Guard, 2021, Blue Valley: Gaining more and more attention in recent months and rightfully so, Blandi has showcased his ability to be a knockdown 3 point shooter this season for the Tigers. Knocking down a massive 82 three point shots on the year and going 42% from the arc in doing so. He has an extremely smooth and consistent shot that he can get off quick and in a variety of situations, and at 6’4 shoots contested 3’s really well.

Brennan Watkins, 6’ Guard, 2021, Kearney: Watkins will let it fly, and he is deadly when doing so. He has extreme range, confidence, and ability in his three ball and gets it off quick, especially when on the move. He made over 3 threes a game for a total of 64 makes at 40% per game. Watkins is a true scorer at almost 25 points per game on the year, and his intermediate game and ability to score in the pain compliments his elite shooting of the basketball, scoring 30 points or more in 4 contests this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="984508" first="Braden" last="Appelhans"], 6’6 Wing, 2022, Blue Springs (Pictured): The long athletic Appelhans is a pure hooper with a knack for putting the ball in the basket. His handle is becoming better and better by the day, and his length combined with his shooting stroke make him a really difficult guy to contain. His shooting ability behind the arc is lethal, and once he gets rolling his confidence allows him to get on some pretty exciting streaks shooting the ball. The lefty hit 72 threes on the year at a blistering 52% pace and his range extends well beyond the line.

Luke Jordan, 6’1 Guard, 2021, Lee Summit West: A two guard that can get hot from distance, Jordan has 7 games on the season with at least 4 made three balls, with a total of 60 makes on the year at 37%. He had a really solid overall season scoring the ball at roughly 15 points per game as well but got most of his damage done from the free throw line and from three point land. I love his ability in transition to run his lanes or trail the play and step into shots, it his one of his most effective ways to get his shot off, as well as kick out threes off drives or post ups.

[player_tooltip player_id="1042404" first="Max" last="Black"], 6’5 Forward, 2021, Truman: Our lone stretch 4 on the list, Black averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game for a very solid overall year for a loaded Truman team. He knocked 75 three pointers on the year on 38% shooting from distance. He has great length and gets up on his shot which makes him really tough to get a solid contest on when he shoots the ball. He is really good as the trail man and knocking down 3’s from the top of the key and he is really good at screening, replacing the area of the guy coming off the screen and knocking down catch and shoot 3’s in relocation.
