<p>The 3A Sectionals have officially come to a close and there were a lot of storylines from Saturday’s final round matchups. Let’s dive in and take a look at some of the top highlights from Saturday’s night of hoops. </p>
<p><strong>Silver Creek Trio Dominates In Win</strong></p>
<p>Silver Creek took down Madison, 83-71, and it was once again another dominating game from the Dragons’ trio. [player_tooltip player_id="529572" first="Trey" last="Kaufman"] (30), [player_tooltip player_id="569321" first="Kooper" last="Jacobi"] (29) and [player_tooltip player_id="769684" first="Branden" last="Northern"] (16) combined for 75 points in the win. Silver Creek had its hands on the lead from the start, leading by 11 at the half, however, a dominating 3rd quarter saw the lead balloon to 22. A late 16-5 run by Madison made it interesting, but it wasn’t enough. Silver Creek heads on to Regionals to face off against Heritage Hills. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="783145" first="Gus" last="Etchison"] Finishes Stellar Career</strong></p>
<p>The Western Michigan signee saw his career come to an end on Saturday with a 51-49 loss to New Castle. He finished with just 15 points, finishing with over 2,400 points for his career and a 31 point per game average this season. He finished with 14 games with at least 30 points this season and three with at least 40. </p>
<p><strong>Heritage Hills Wins Back-To-Back Sectionals</strong></p>
<p>After going 16 years without a sectional title, Heritage Hills has now won two in a row after a dominating performance on Saturday. It was a 54-32 win over Boonville, led by [player_tooltip player_id="874112" first="Blake" last="Sisley"] with 23 points. Sisley now sits just 16 points away from breaking the program record for most points in a single season. It now sets up a big showdown with Silver Creek in the Regionals. </p>

<li>Hammond runs through its sectional for another title, taking down Clumet by 31 points. </li>
<li>
<div class="name first-name">JR Konieczny leads South Bend St. Joseph to a win over John Glenn with clutch buckets late in the game. He finished with 20 points. </div>
</li>
<li>Sophomore guard Drew Cook led Northview to its first sectional title since 2017 in a 60-52 win over Edgewood.</li>
<li>[player_tooltip player_id="1077027" first="Kaleb" last="Edwards"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1077028" first="Joseph" last="Bobilya"] combine for 29 points and help lift Guerin Catholic over Brebeuf Jesuit in a low scoring physical meeting.</li>
<li>Sullivan picks up first sectional title since 2011 in a 57-47 victory over Vincennes Lincoln. It was just the sixth win for Sullivan in its last 20 overall meetings with Lincoln.</li>
