The first player of this article is an obvious one. The leader of the team with the longest winning streak in the America, the player who hit a game winning step-back three to win the state tournament as a Sophomore, and future University of Kearney Loper, [player_tooltip player_id="890465" first="Cam" last="Binder"] comes to state wanting to add a third gold medal to his collection. Scoring 15ppg with a 42% 3pt percentage, and as a 90% FT shooter, you’ll want to check out a game of Auburn’s.

[player_tooltip player_id="890570" first="Brett" last="Mahony"] | Kearney Catholic

Junior Forward Mahony leads Kearney Catholic to their fifth state tournament appearance in the last nine years after spending all season as a top 3 ranking. Averaging 17 points per game to go along with 7 rebounds, Mahony leads a Kearney Catholic team full of shooting and athleticism. With their 5 out play style, KC might be one of the most exciting teams in the entire tournament field this year.

Cam Foster | Adams Central

Future guard at Doane University, Foster enters the state tournament actually seeing a bit of a decrease in production from last year. After averaging 12ppg last year en route to a 3rd place finish at state, he is averaging 10ppg this year on 40% FG shooting and 33% from 3pt. The small decrease is in part due to large contributions from teammates’ Lucas Bohlen and Tyler Slechta. However, over the last 5 games Foster has kicked it up a notch averaging 13ppg and shooting 46% from deep. In a loaded C1 bracket this year, Adams Central is going to need him to stay hot and have all hands on deck.

Jaxon Weyand | Milford

The strong, 6’2 guard transferred over from Crete this offseason and has taken C1 by storm. Weyand enters the state tournament averaging 18.5ppg on 53% FG shooting, and 37.6% from 3pt. He is a big reason for Milford’s undefeated record so far this year, and he has been even hotter in their last 5 games, averaging 23ppg over that stretch. Seems to be a good indicator that he plays his best when the lights are the brightest.

Tommy Wroblewski | St. Paul

Wyoming football commit, Wroblewski is also a more than capable basketball talent. The true definition of a statsheet stuffer, he comes to state averaging 17ppg, 4rpg, 4apg, and 3 steals, on 50% FG shooting and 35% from deep. Along with fellow guard Andy Poss, St. Paul travels to Lincoln with a lot of confidence.
