<p>The NCHSAA season has finally concluded and the 4A state title game was exciting as ever. Here's a look at who stood out from the 4A level in the state playoffs. </p>
<h5 style="text-align: left;">Most Outstanding Player: [player_tooltip player_id="848087" first="Silas" last="Demary III"] | 6’4 Guard | Millbrook</h5>
<p>The 4A State Title game came down to the final play and [player_tooltip player_id="848087" first="Silas" last="Demary III"] was the hero, coming up with the final steal and layup to seal the 67-65 victory in overtime. He’s a gamer guard that gets it done. </p>
<h4>1st Team</h4>
<h5>Point Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="725186" first="Evan" last="Smith"] | Ardrey Kell</h5>
<p>Smith is a true point guard that fills up the stat sheet. He put up eight points, nine assists and five rebounds showed why he’s such a highly-ranked prospect in the 2022 class at the point guard spot. As he shows off his offensive arsenal more, look for his stock to continue to grow.</p>
<h5>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="848087" first="Silas" last="Demary III"] | Millbrook</h5>
<p>Demary finished with a game-high 22 points while showing off his ability to make an impact on both ends. He’s due to make waves after moving into the 2023 class.</p>
<h5>Wing: [player_tooltip player_id="574413" first="Eric" last="Van Der Heijden"] | Millbrook</h5>
<p>Van der Heijden fouled out in the state final, but he still managed to put up 21 points and knock down five 3-pointers to pace the scoring attack on the wing. He’ll be one to keep an eye on next fall at Louisville. </p>
<h5>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="577848" first="Elijah" last="Gray"] | Ardrey Kell</h5>
<p>Gray is a versatile forward prospect that finished with a double-double despite the result. He finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds while showing off his length and ability to make things happen when the ball comes his way.</p>
<h5>Center: [player_tooltip player_id="1028028" first="Peyton" last="Gerald"] | Ardrey Kell</h5>
<p>Gerald is an underrated big man that’s still unsigned in the 2021 class despite what he’s done at Ardrey Kell. He’s an active force on both ends that posted 13,7 ppg, 7.5 rpg and 1.9 bpg showing off his athleticism and ability to operate in the paint. </p>
<h4>2nd Team</h4>
<h5>Point Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="838057" first="Chris" last="Daniels"] | Millbrook</h5>
<p>Daniels is an unsigned floor general that did damage running the point guard spot for Millbrook in 2020-21. He finished out his career averaging 13.8 ppg, 4.4 apg, 4.2 rpg and 2.6 spg in 2020-21. He’s a high IQ playmaker that can operate on all three levels.</p>
<h5>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="1050462" first="Knoah" last="Carver"] | Ardrey Kell</h5>
<p>Carver came up big in the backcourt for Ardrey Kell, despite the outcome. He showed off his ability to stroke it from deep with five made 3-pointers, finishing with 19 points in the state final. He’s another unsigned name still on the board.</p>
<h5>Wing: [player_tooltip player_id="838023" first="Redford" last="Dunton"] | Millbrook</h5>
<p>Dunton showed off his ability to space out the floor as another perimeter threat for Millbrook this season. He knocked down two 3-pointers and finished with 10 points in their state title victory. He posted 18.8 ppg and 7.0 rpg in 2020-21.</p>
<h5>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="574411" first="Chris" last="Ford"] | North Mecklenburg</h5>
<p>Ford was still a dominant presence in the frontcourt for North Mecklenburg in the NCHSAA 4A Playoffs. He put up 16 points in their loss to Ardrey Kell and 11 points and 11 rebounds against South Mecklenburg in the semifinals.</p>
<h5>Center: [player_tooltip player_id="577850" first="Jeremy" last="Gregory"] | North Mecklenburg</h5>
<p>Gregory was still unstoppable in the playoffs despite the Patriots falling to Ardrey Kell in the 4A Region Finals. He finished with 25 points and 18 rebounds. He’s a big man due for a big spring/summer on the grassroots stage.</p>
