<p>Tonight Long Island Lutheran (LuHi) paid a visit to Stepinac who was fresh off of their Brother Stoldt Series championship. There were a number of Division 1 players in tonight’s game. The matchup lived up to the hype coming down the wire in a tightly played contest. <br />

<strong>LuHi Standouts </strong><br />
<br />
[player_tooltip player_id="1045796" first="Jayden" last="Reid"] <strong>’23</strong> was a difference-maker off the bench tonight. The shifty point guard was able to get into the lane and utilize his go-to runner often. Jayden used his speed to get downhill and connect on a late layup, which ended up being the game-winner. He finished the game with 16 points.<br />
<br />
[player_tooltip player_id="1132416" first="Kacper" last="Klaczek"] <strong>’21</strong> was a beast on the glass finishing with 14 rebounds (4 offensive). Kacper’s versatility stood out on both ends in addition to his underrated passing tonight. Tonight he contributed 7 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks. <br />
<br />
<strong>Ryan Dunn ’21</strong> who grew seven inches since last May was all over the court. He struggled on the offensive end but contributed in other ways. He was extremely active in the second half. He came out of halftime with a new energy. Ryan added 2 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. <br />

<strong>Stepinac Standouts</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>Johnuel "Boogie" Fland ’24</strong>, who recently received an offer from Maryland, was fearless tonight. He made a number of timely plays. He never seemed rattled throughout the game, collecting a late steal leading to a pull-up three in transition. He also stepped to the lined and connected on two late free throws. Boogie lead the way with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.<br />
<br />
[player_tooltip player_id="945516" first="Malcolm" last="Chimezie"] <strong>’21</strong> earned everything tonight. The Boston University commit had to deal with [player_tooltip player_id="1132415" first="Drissa" last="Traore"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1132416" first="Kacper" last="Klaczek"] inside on both ends throughout the night, but came on late with multiple and 1’s. Chimezie’s energy lifted the team to close the game. The senior finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds.<br />
<br />
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1046820" first="Joel" last="Baez"] ’22</strong> was the glue guy for Stepinac tonight. He used his athletic ability to blow up a lob pass, took a charge, and was constantly on the floor going after loose balls. The junior wing contributed 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.<br />
