Last week I attended the Grind Session playoffs at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ.

There are some amazing players throughout the country and it is always fun looking for some sleepers in the group of stars.

Here were some of the lesser known players that are very good:

Zaba Bangala PF 6’7 2021 Trinity Prep/NV

-An undersized physical forward who is tough to handle. He is a capable 3pt shooter plus is strong to get downhill using his thick body. He handles the ball well for a forward and they play through him. He is a very good rebounder and is sneaky quick getting passed his opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id="958295" first="Sione" last="Lose"] BFL Prep/WA

-The Northern California guard has good speed, he changes speeds with his handle and can in and out dribble to get by his opponents. He can hit the 3 and drive the lane. His activity on defense and shooting makes him attractive to go along with his length, speed, quicks and skill.

Darrion WIlliams PF 6’6 2022 BFL Prep/WA

-The Swiss Army knife has a lot to like. He can shoot the 3, post you up inside with multiple moves plus is an outstanding passer. He handles the ball well and is the glue guy on every team I have seen him on this past year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1041564" first="Daniel" last="Rouzan"] Balboa Prep/CA

-A scoring post forward plays with a high IQ and big hands. He is very patient in the post and can score it with either hand. He is a good passer out of of the post who plays hard on each possession. He is reclassifying to the 2022 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1035631" first="Joshua" last="Uduje"] AZ Compass Prep (Pictured)

-Hard to say he is a sleeper but his lack of multiple offers makes him one. He is turning into a classic 3 and D type. His catch-3 has been a true weapon for the Dragons. He has a quick release and good size. He is an above the rim player on the break and a very good runner, He uses his size and length for deflections and steals and is a sneaky good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id="809690" first="Darian" last="Masi"] Eduprize/AZ

-An athletic 4-man is a true rim runner who plays way above the rim. He blocks shots and rebounds out of his area. He is developing a nice hook shot and gives high effort on both ends of the floor. His shooting has looked better and his stock is up!

[player_tooltip player_id="1080826" first="Jaden" last="Clayton"] Dream City/AZ

-A pure PG with real speed. He can hit the 3pt shot plus can blow passed his defenders and score it. He is a two-way guard with quick hands and feet picking his opposing pockets. He guided his team to the Final-4.

[player_tooltip player_id="1074371" first="Jovan" last="Milicevic"] Dream City/AZ

-With a very short bench of many players out, the freshman got a chance to shine. He hit two big 3’s plus two from mid-range. He can rip through and score it in traffic with a sturdy frame and will continue to produce for them the next 3 years.

Zach Bloch G 6'2 2021 Colorado Prep

-Easily one of the best shooters on the Grind Session. His pull-up is a weapon as well as his catch-3. He plays a smart floor game and he was consistent all year. His ability to play on or off the ball made him a luxury for them.
