The Team Teague Jordan group brought home the championship trophy but there was a lot of top competition that they had to go up against in order to bring home the championship crown. Below are five guys from the 13U division that made an impact for their teams.
Luke Breedlove | Team Breakdown Kentucky | Class of 2026
Breedlove might not pass the eye test right away just because of how skinny he is but he will continue to add strength as he gets older. Breedlove is an elite rim protector as he was getting blocked shot after blocked shot leading the Team Breakdown Kentucky team on defense. Breedlove was also extremely efficient around the rim and looks to be a low post prospect to keep tabs on from the state of Kentucky moving forward.
Luke Fawns | Team Breakdown | Class of 2026
Fawns has some of the most upside out of any prospects I saw at Blue Chip City Mayhem. Standing at 6’3, he is matchup nightmare against opposing teams because of his length and versatility. Fawns showed that he can be extremely dominant in the low post using his length to finish over defenders but also showed that he can step out to the perimeter and make shots. Fawns was also handling the ball getting up to the court which adds even more dimensions to his game. Fawns is on track to be a highly sought division one recruit.
Larry Harris | Chicago Demons | Class of 2026
Harris was one of the numerous bright spots for the 7th grade Chicago Demon’s group, leading them to the championship game. All though the Demon’s fell short in the finals, Harris efforts can’t go unnoticed as he finished with a double double. Because of his size, double doubles will probably start becoming easy for him as he is a dominant post player that stands bigger than a lot of his opposition. Harris is one to watch from Illinois.
Trevy Martin | Team Teague Jordan | Class of 2026
Martin is not going to be a player opposing teams want to see in transition as he is dominant already in that phase of the game. Martin, who is listed at 6’0, was one of the more athletic players in the 13U division at Blue Chip City Mayhem which caused him to be a matchup nightmare all weekend. Martin is a skilled 7th grader that has a really nice offensive scoring package but can distribute the ball nicely to teammates when it is needed.
Jaylan Mitchell | Team Teague Jordan | Class of 2026
Mitchell is a 6’4 sixth grader that played in the 7th grade division at Blue Chip City Mayhem and he held his own playing in a division up. Mitchell dominated around the rim because of his height as he is an advanced-skilled post player. Even though Mitchell was younger than anybody on the court, that did not phase him one bit as he also had one of the top motors in the 13U division.
