Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top standouts from Wednesday night’s district championship from around the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="984516" first="Robert" last="Lewis"] 6’8" Cardinal Ritter: The 2022 forward had a team-high 16 points in the Lions’ 47-43 overtime victory over University City in the Class 5, District 5 championship game. The long and athletic Lewis was a force throughout he evening as he neutralized U. City’s talented front line with his ability to score, rebound and protect the rim. He kept himself out of foul trouble and came up with some big buckets in the second half. He has a big upside.

[player_tooltip player_id="824130" first="Jonathan" last="Dunn"] 6’7" Logan-Rogersville: The explosive 2021 combo forward erupted for 33 points in the Wildcats’ 73-56 victory over Neosho in the Class 5, District 11 championship game. He entertained the crowd with four dunks, but his game is much more than dunking. He can shoot the 3-pointer, score off the bounce and get buckets inside. He originally committed to Western Illinois, but he’s going to reclassify to 2022 and do a year of prep school. His recruited should can explode over the summer.

Collin Ruffin 6’3" Nixa: The smooth 2022 point guard scored a team-high 20 points and passed out several dimes to lead the Eagles to a 67-49 victory over Ozark in the Class 6, District 11 championship game. He scored 17 of those points in the second half. He displays all the tools that make him one of the best point guards around. He controls the pace, can get his teammates involved with his deft passing and he can shoot the deep ball. His size and length is a bonus.

[player_tooltip player_id="824116" first="Mario" last="Fleming"] 6’3" Cardinal Ritter (pictured): The 2021 power guard scored a team-high 16 points in the Lions’ hard-fought victory over University City in the Class 5, District 5 championship game. He is a tough matchup because he’s strong and he plays much bigger than his height with his ability to score inside and from the high post. He also sealed the game with three free throws in the overtime period.

Jobe Bryant 5’10" Park Hills Central: The talented 2024 point guard has been big for the Rebels throughout the season and last night was no different as he had 22 points, six assists and six steals in a 55-49 victory over Dexter in the Class 4, District 2 championship game at Potosi. He is a tremendous young talent who already has the ability to take over a game and make his teammates better.
