<p>Today we give you our South Dakota Best of State All State Tournament team. The ten best performers at state regardless of class. </p>
<p><strong>Best of State First Team</strong></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="812196" first="Kalen" last="Garry"]</strong> of De Smet. Garry led his team to the state championship scoring 71 points in the three state tournament games while also grabbing 23 rebounds. De Smet was the most dominant team in the state this year (in relation to their own class) and Garry led the way.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="975510" first="Tyler" last="Prins"]</strong> of Sioux Falls Christian. Prins was an outstanding playmaker leading the Class A tournament in assists (21) and scoring 17 plus points a game. St. Thomas More and Sioux Valley didn’t have a player that could keep Prins in front of them leading to 8 of 14 and 9 of 13 shooting games. Prins lead the Chargers to the state title.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="732179" first="Paul" last="Bruns"]</strong> of Dakota Valley. The UND signed guard didn’t get the ultimate goal of a state title but his stat stuffing career continued at State. Bruns led Class A in scoring (74 points) and led the entire state tournament in rebounding (47). In the third place game (DV won) Bruns put up 37 points with 17 boards.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="757825" first="Tyler" last="Feldkamp"]</strong> of SF Roosevelt. The senior guard had a marvelous finish to his high school career. Not only did Tyler bring home gold to his school, he was fantastic at the state tournament leading Class AA in scoring (20 plus points a game) and doing it efficiently (scored on 23 of 38 attempts including 10 of 18 threes). Throw in a great rebounding effort (23 in 3 games) and Tyler was magnificent on the big stages.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="963747" first="Joe" last="Sayler"]</strong> of White River. The Tigers represented their program very well earning two victories at state. Despite all the defensive attention Sayler had games of 23 points, 26 points, and 29 points shooting 40 percent on 63 attempts. Sayler was the leading scorer of the entire state tournament. Throw in 24 rebounds and more importantly wins over previously 2<sup>nd</sup> in state ranked Canisota and Lower Brule and you have an impressive weekend.</p>
<p><strong>Best of State Second Team</strong></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="963744" first="Oliver" last="Vincent"]</strong> of Sioux Valley. The 6-foot-1 guard lead the Cossacks to the state championship game and a second place finish. Vincent attacked defenses off the dribble with great success scoring on more than half his shots in side the arc (18 of 34) and drawing 29 foul shots in three games (made 24). Also among the assist (12) and steals (5) leaders.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="757827" first="Connor" last="Libis"]</strong> of Dell Rapids St Mary. Connor ends his career as the third all time leading scorer in state history with 2,731 points. Libis averaged 23 a game this weekend lading the Cards to a pair of wins. He shot 25 of 58 (43 percent) and was honored with the Spirit of Su award.</p>
<p><strong>Alec Voegle</strong> of Aberdeen Central. The 6-foot-5 junior averaged a double-double for the state tournament. An average of 12.3 points and 10.3 boards a game shooting 45 percent from the field and making 8 of 11 foul shots. It was a strong showing for Central winning two of three games and Alec was the only AA player to average a double-double.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="963765" first="Ethan" last="Russell"]</strong> of Aberdeen Christian. One of the best surprises of the state tournament was a fun run by the Knights. Six-foot-5 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="963765" first="Ethan" last="Russell"] was a big part of their success scoring 50 points with 22 boards in three games shooting an impressive 17 of 25 including making seven of eight attempts in the title game.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="732175" first="Matthew" last="Mors"]</strong> of Yankton. Mors finished his career as the 4<sup>th</sup> all time leading scorer in South Dakota high school basketball history and the highest total in big school South Dakota history. At state he led the Bucks to a pair of wins while averaging 17 points and six rebounds a game.</p>
