<p>It’s that time when all-state, all-league, all-area and all-city teams are announced. <em>Sports in Kansas</em> publication recently released its all-state team. A few interesting items stand out from the selection of the top players across all classes, as well as the teams chosen by classification.</p>
<p>Here is a look at the best small-school ballers from the all-state teams:</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="962478" first="Jayden" last="Garrison"], senior, Little River:</p>
<p>The 1A guard was one of two small-school players named to the 1st team, consisting of the top 10 players in the state from all classes. Add it to the already stuffed trophy case for the multi-sport star from central Kansas. He averaged 24.2 points per contest as a senior.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="946226" first="Harlan" last="Obioha"], senior, Hoxie (pictured):</p>
<p>The other small schooler named to the top 10 team was the 7-0 Obioha. The football and basketball star led Hoxie as the top ranked 2A team in the state all season, until they were upset in the tournament. The big man’s final season totals are pretty astounding: 23.0 points, 12.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 4.1 blocks per game.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1070222" first="Tyus" last="Wilson"], senior, Sterling:</p>
<p>Picked for the all-classes 2nd-team was the jumping jack from Sterling. Stats aren’t available for Wilson at this point, but we know from what he did as a junior, and from his crazy ability, the deserves to be in this type of company. His 13.6 rebounds was one of the tops in the state last year. And what would you expect from a soon-to-be University of Nebraska high jumper?</p>
<p><strong>Lucas Hammeke</strong>, senior, Hutchinson Trinity:</p>
<p>Probably a player who flew way too far under the radar during his high school career, the senior was dynamite, averaging 21.2 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.3 steals to earn a spot on the all-classes 3rd team.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076414" first="Emmitt" last="Jueneman"], junior, Hanover:</p>
<p>The best thing you can say about Jueneman is that he is a winner. He was the best player on one of the best teams in the state – Hanover finished 24-1, with the 1A Div. 2 trophy in hand. Jueneman capped the season earning 3rd team all-class honors. His team was so good, Jueneman didn’t always have to produce a ton. Still, he finished averaging 18.3 points, 4.0 assists, 3.6 steals</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1072883" first="Devan" last="McEwen"], senior, Lebo:</p>
<p>Rounding out the small-schoolers to earn 3rd team all-classes was the highly decorated McEwen. The 6-foot-1 senior set a ton of records in football and basketball during his career. Stats aren’t available at this moment for McEwen, but we know he topped 20 points at last eight times, including 35 against Hartford and 30 against Burlingame.</p>
<p>Selected to the top 30 from 3A schools by <em>Sports in Kansas</em> were:</p>
