The 5A State Championship is here and some thing that many didn’t think would happen, happened and that is that someone knocked off Timpview. That team was Farmington and they had many players step up but [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] has clutch at the end rebounding and hitting his free-throws. On the other end Lehi knocked out a solid Olympus team and Coach Quincy Lewis is back in a Chanpionship game after returning to the sidelines after a brief stint at BYU as an assistant coach.

Lehi

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="543077" first="Noa" last="Gonsalves"]- If you want to see a high level guard that seems like he is just out there so calm, this is your guy. Noa is proving why he is a Division 1 player. He is scoring 18 PPG and he does it all.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1095803" first="Peter" last="Amakasu"]- the California transfer is a big addition to the Pioneers because they have someone else that can handle the ball, slash and nail those long balls. Peter is a steal at the next level. he’s putting up 14 PPG.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="933805" first="Tyson" last="Hawkins"]- Tyson is Lehi’s Swiss Army Knife on both ends of the floor. There isn’t just one thing that he does well, because he does everything well. He will be a tough cover. He is scoring 12 PPG.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1042596" first="Blake" last="Hill"]- Blake is that forgotten piece that gives Lehi so much. Blake is dangerous from deep and has good size. He is scoring 10 PPG.

6’6 Greyson Brousseau- Tough multi-sport athlete that rebounds and defends. His 4PPG will come in handy in this game.

Farmington

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"]- Collin scoring 22 PPG but what was impressive in his last outing was the fact that he wasn’t scoring a lot but he was doing other things to help his team win, like defend and rebound.

6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="933806" first="Truman" last="Hendry"]- Truman is skilled and we have been impressed with his footwork down on the blocks. His face up game is nice too. He is scoring 11 PPG.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="1042363" first="Caleb" last="Mordue"]- Caleb is a crafty high motor wing that is a slasher. Caleb can score in a hurry and he has great length to get tips and rebound. Caleb is scoring 10 PPG.

6’4 Michael Rawson- This kid has a good size and can shoot. Watch him in the corner ready to shoot. Michael is scoring 4 PPG.

5’10 [player_tooltip player_id="1042366" first="Sam" last="Rencher"]- is a serviceable PG that can get you a few buckets as he looks to find his teammates and get the offense going.

6’0 Tanner Norquist - is scoring 4 PPG and he does a little bit of everything.

6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="1057024" first="Paul" last="Beattie"]- the freshman will have to give good minutes on both ends of the floor. His length and ability to defend multiple positions will come in handy.

Overview

There are two guards that have take over ability and that is [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] and [player_tooltip player_id="543077" first="Noa" last="Gonsalves"]. This could be a treat. Size wise it seems like everyone matches up well. Farmington might go to [player_tooltip player_id="933806" first="Truman" last="Hendry"] early and start inside out. Lehi will look to spread Farmington out and attack as they see fit.
