The end of the 2021 season has changed seniors focus from finishing their seasons to choosing their colleges. St. Thomas Aquinas guard [player_tooltip player_id="900317" first="Kyree" last="Henry"] did just that as he committed to play for Montclair State. His teammate [player_tooltip player_id="850512" first="Josh" last="Rivera"] is picking up offers on the recruiting trail, but he will be doing a postgrad year and will be part of the 2022 class. The GMC is still filled with talented available seniors who can make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available 2021 prospects in the GMC.

[player_tooltip player_id="1017710" first="Jordan" last="Derkack"], 6’3 SG Colonia

The Patriots played a tough schedule this season, but Derkack was still able to show off his versatile game. The athletic 6’3 guard can explode off the floor and knows how to finish above the rim. Derkack attacks the basket strong and is unafraid of drawing contact. He can the run offense effectively and makes plays on the defensive end. Derkack’s ability to play at both ends of the floor makes him an intriguing prospect to watch in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id="850522" first="Malik" last="Austin"], 6’6 SF Colonia

A second straight Patriot to kick off this list, Austin’s skillset makes him a player to keep an eye on. The 6’6 wing has a strong frame which he uses to finish shots through contact around the basket. Austin can also step outside and knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the ability to defend multiple positions. Austin is a skilled wing prospect who has the tools to succeed at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="900327" first="Elijah" last="Barlow"], 6’1 CG St. Joe’s Metuchen

The Falcons had one of the better backcourts in the GMC this season and the addition of Barlow was a big reason why. The Union Catholic transfer has a good handle and can beat his defender off the bounce. Barlow is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and moves well off the ball. He is capable of running the offense and is one of top available on-ball defenders in New Jersey. Barlow is a tough, two-way guard who can provide a team with a secondary ball-handler.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013011" first="Kody" last="Robinson"], 6’3 SG St. Joe’s Metuchen

Another St. Joe’s guard, Robinson provides a different skillset than Barlow. The 6’3 guard has a nice shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and is almost always shot ready. Robinson is more than just a shooter as he has a good handle and is a good finisher around the basket. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and knows how to move his feet on the defensive end. Robinson had a strong senior season for the Falcons as he showed his total skillset in his final varsity season.

Ronnie Burwan Jr., 6’4 CG Timothy Christian

Burwan Jr. had a breakout senior season as he showed why he is one of the more underrated guards in the GMC. The 6’4 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get into the lane to make plays. Burwan Jr. is a good finisher around the basket, but he also has the ability to knock down jumpers from the perimeter when given space. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is a play-maker on the defensive end. Burwan Jr. has the size and play-making ability to make an impact at the next level.
