Who’s Heating Up: 4A

<p>4A is wide open this year. The final four was who was expected to be there. This year we have so many teams that can make a run. The southern region is dangerous as we see night in and night out there is a battle. </p> <p><strong>Hottest Team</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Dixie Flyers</span></p> <p>The reason Dixie is the hottest team is because they have the toughest schedule and they have proven to be at the top once again. [player_tooltip player_id="933803" first="Isaac" last="Finlinson"] is a great player and he continues to get better. He recently committed to Dixie State and he is turning out to be a great get. The thing that makes Dixie tough is that they are not a one man show, they have players all over the floor that can score the ball and defend. </p> <p><strong>Heating Up</strong></p> <p>The Sky View Bobcats</p> <p>Last year it appeared that the bobcats run might have ended and their chances at getting back would be gone. That has not been the case. With a few games against the southern teams in 4A under their belt and wins against 5A and 6A teams has been huge for them. Evan Hall and Jackson Shuman have been great this year. Look for them to be a tough out.</p> <p><strong>Hot Team</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle</span></p> <p>Juan Diego is playing it’s usual ball and that is great basketball. Their traditional 2-3 zone seems to stump a lot of the teams they face. They have length and some great guard play. [player_tooltip player_id="755615" first="Talon" last="Valdes"] is leading all scorers and they are getting some huge play from [player_tooltip player_id="755662" first="David" last="Kinneberg"]. With shooter Matty Rodriguez and multi-use big man [player_tooltip player_id="755618" first="Matt" last="Rohden"] they are a solid team that will go undefeated in region play. Excited to see their 2-3 zone against some of the other elite teams in 4A. </p> <p><strong>Beware of Team</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Crimson Cliff Mustangs</span></p> <p>This team gave their 1st round opponent a scare last season with only one contributing senior. This season they are mature, faster, smarter and stronger. This team is a team to fear. They have shooting and athletes that play at both ends of the floor. They can play up and down or in the half-court. Trei Rockhill has been lights out.
