Who were the standout performers from the Catholic League in Philly this week?

[player_tooltip player_id="991391" first="Sam" last="Brown"] IV 6’3 SG ’22 - LaSalle/K-Low Elite

Sam’s skill on the court is understated because he splits his training throughout the year with football. The Explorers runningback dominated against Archbishop Carroll with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He got Carroll in foul trouble by driving into the key and absorbing contact. His build keeps from getting pushed off his spots on both ends. Brown IV is an all-around competitor whose energy elevates the whole team.

[player_tooltip player_id="990930" first="Rahsool" last="Diggins"] 6’3 PG ’21 - Archbishop Wood/ Team Final

The UConn commit has been cuttin lately. Bonner-Prendie led going into the fourth quarter, yet , Sool’s coolness was essential to their come-from-behind win. He tallied 28 points, 4 assists and 2 steals, after struggling a bit early. His poise down the stretch was evident, knocking down 12 of 13 free throws.

[player_tooltip player_id="990938" first="Anquan" last="Hill"] 6’8 Forward ’21 Archbishop Carroll/ K-low Elite

Likely the most under the radar prospect in the area, Hill has had a steady season thus far. Against St. Joe’s Prep, he posted a double-double (26 points & 14 rebounds) with 4 dimes, 2 blocks and 3 defections. Hill’s greatest upside is on defense, where he alters shots and is comfortable on switches against perimeter players. His combination of physical tools and athletic ability project well to mid to high major programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="990990" first="Nahseer" last="Johnson"] 5’11 PG ’21 - Father Judge

Went from a scorer to an all-around playmaker. Against Archbishop Wood, he scored 27 pts primarily within the flow of the offense, decreasing his creation-load. Nahseer was more efficient as well, shooting 50% from the field and going 6 for 10 from three. His 5 steals helped FJ keep the game close in the first half. Johnson successfully deflected passes on the weak-side and turned his defense into instant offense for his team. He’s now ups to 18.7 points, 3.3 steals and 6 deflections per game.

[player_tooltip player_id="990952" first="Aaron" last="Lemon-Warren"] 6’5 Forward ’21 - Archbishop Ryan/ K-low Elite

Ryan got a late start to the season after observing COVID protocols. But that didn’t stop ALW from putting up an efficient 22 points and 9 boards versus Lansdale Catholic. One of the things that makes him so special is the variety of ways in which he scores without dominating the ball - post ups, 3-pointers & cutting. Lemon-Warren is truly one of the region's hidden gems.

[player_tooltip player_id="901951" first="Daniel" last="Skillings"] 6’6 Wing ’22 - Roman Catholic/ Philly Pride

A newcomer from St. Josephs(NJ), Skillings is seamlessly adjusting his game to the PCL. He uses his +5 inch wingspan to get off tough shots (37% from three) and finish around rim-protectors. The Cahillites wing had a double-double against St. Joe’s Prep(PA), scoring 23 points on 3 of 6 from deep and grabbing 11 rebounds. Defensively, he used his physical tools to make plays as a team defender - 2 blocks and 4 deflections.
