The Tuesday Night Elite. Who are Tuesday’s best five performers warming up for March Madness?

[player_tooltip player_id="975543" first="Zane" last="Alm"] (6’10 Sr C) of Mitchell. Although the Kernels lost this was an eye-opening showing for [player_tooltip player_id="975543" first="Zane" last="Alm"]. He was face to face with true center size and did two things to them: brought them away from the basket and knocked out perimeter jumpers, and used a face-up attack from mid-range to attack the rim, make a short jumper, and use his one dribble attack. Alm scored 23 points on 8 of 13 shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id="1129964" first="Caden" last="Ellingson"] (6’7 Sr C) of Tea Area. The Titan big is coming up crucial once again. In a battle of top ten teams, Caden controlled the paint and with that he controlled a lot of the flow of the game. His five blocks kept West Central away from the rim, his eight defensive boards ended possessions while his five offensive boards extended Tea Area possessions, plus was highly efficient with his touches. Scored his 17 on 5 of 6 shooting from the floor, 7 of 7 from the foul line.

[player_tooltip player_id="975528" first="Jace" last="Kelley"] (6’2 Sr Guard) of Custer. Custer won their fifth straight game last night knocking off Hill City 72-42. They were led senior [player_tooltip player_id="975528" first="Jace" last="Kelley"] who exploded for 31 points in his final regular season game at home. Kelley is a lefty with range that handles the ball, distributes off the driblle for his team, and has a quick releasing lefty stroke with range.

[player_tooltip player_id="963751" first="Lincoln" last="Kienholz"] (6’S Soph Guard) of Pierre. The Governor sophomores are becoming more and more of a story every week. Six-foot-5 [player_tooltip player_id="963775" first="Jackson" last="Edman"] did the paint work recording a double-double while classmate [player_tooltip player_id="963751" first="Lincoln" last="Kienholz"] scored 28. Kienholz has recently had some rough outings so exploding for 28 in a win over Brookings was important heading into March Madness.

[player_tooltip player_id="734065" first="Eli" last="Williams"] (6’2 Sr Guard) of SF Washington. We have talked extensively about Eli’s ability to do a lot of everything on the floor and last night was a great example. His third quarter scoring surge showed off both his range at the arc and went to the rim posting up to use his size. Williams used his strength to offensive board and score around the basket. Finally, he was a defensive game changer too. He played his part in pressuring [player_tooltip player_id="812199" first="Caden" last="Hinker"] with extra attention. Scored 18 points with six boards in one of the biggest games of the week.
