2A is one of those classifications that is wide open. When it comes to talent there are players that can play at the next level for the right program. Here are a few players to watch in 2A.

6’5 W Tyson Cow, Draper-APA

Tyson is averaging over 12 PPG and playing some high quality basketball. He’s had some big games this year. He is that Swiss Army Knife of a player that is needed when you play for a small school. Tyson can play at a high level and when he is out in the open floor he can really play above the rim.

6’6 PG [player_tooltip player_id="933804" first="Paora" last="Winitana"], American Heritage

Paora had a great season last year but this year he has really turned it up. He has taken over offensively. He is scoring 25 PPG and he is crafty at it too. When you watch him play you can see how he has brought that international style of play here to Utah. He uses his frame to get defenders out of position. He is too big to handle for smaller guards.

6’6 W Souleymane Barro, Layton Christian

Another great international prospect finding a home at LCA. This kid has some flashes of next level. He’s athletic and covers a lot of ground. He does most of his damage inside and he is a double-double machine.

6’2 G [player_tooltip player_id="755638" first="Ky" last="Brown"], Beaver High School

Ky is that all-around athlete that just shows up in big games. Ky can score but he has great vision. He rebounds extremely well for a guard. Ky has a great looking mid-range and outside jumper, but he always finds ways to get to the basket.

6’4 W Tyler Hiatt, Enterprise High School

Tyler has scored in double figures in all but two games this year. He is also zeroing in on 1,000 points. It’s going to be close, but with a deep run at state he should manage to reach that milestone. Ty is another player that does a lot of his damage inside the arc but he can keep defenses honest by hitting a few from outside.
