Continue ReadingOver the last month we released our latest rankings for the classes of 2021, 2022, and 2023. What if you took those classes and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like! This is our Illinois Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class!
Today we unveil prospects #31 – #35!
#31 Xavier Lewis Xavier Lewis 6'7" | PF Tf South | 2022 State IL (TF South – 2022)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Lewis fits the new age power forward spot to perfection. He has nice size, length, and athleticism for the position. The TF South standout can defend all over the floor with his physical tools. Offensively he is so quick to the offensive glass, rim runs, and is becoming a threat as a pick/pop guy.
#32 Blake Peters Blake Peters 6'1" | SG Evanston | 2021 State IL (Evanston – 2021)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Peters has been known as an ELITE shooter for a long time. The Princeton commit is still that as he has one of the best shooting strokes we have scouted over the last decade. What has helped see his stock rise the most however is the growth in his all-around game passing, putting it on the deck, and his improved athleticism.
#33 Jalen Griffith Jalen Griffith 5'9" | PG Simeon | 2023 State IL (Simeon – 2023)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Griffith is a small guard, but he is dynamic every single time it touches his hands. We have seen the point guard drop 40+ points in a game along with barely scoring while completely controlling the game with his passing. Electric ball handler that has it on a string maneuvering his way in and out of the defense.
#34 Xavier Sulaiman Xavier Sulaiman 6'3" | SG Oak Lawn | 2023 State IL (Marist – 2023)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Combo guard from Marist has quality size and is a shot maker from beyond the arc. He elevated his stock with an extremely consistent fall and winter in every event we saw him. Good feel for the game with his passing and the way he runs a team. Effective both on and off the ball.
#35 Sonny Williams Sonny Williams 6'1" | PG International Sports Academy | 2023 OH (Niles Notre Dame – 2023)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Williams is the fourth highest ranked Dons prospect on this list and the youngest. He shined with the Illinois Wolves throughout their fall workouts putting up points against any defender that was thrown at him. Also had other games where he looked to set up others and run the show. Bright future for the next star at Niles Notre Dame.
