Mason Rumsey 6’3″ Lafayette County: A talented all-around wing player who was the MVP of the Hamilton Tournament after leading the xx to the championship. I was very impressed with how he can score in many ways while also keeping his teammates involved with his passing. He scored 26 in the championship game. He has good athleticism to go along with his shooting ability and resourceful bucket-getting.
Gavin Jansen 6’3″ Kelly: A strong lefty forward who plays with a high motor and a lot of gusto around the basket. When he’s able to get to his left, he’s hard to stop because he can score on some very physical takes, even against double teams. He had 21 of his team’s 38 points in a big win over Oran in the semifinals of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament.
Bryce Hambelton, Gainesville: A big bodied post player who was the Most Valuable Player of the Sparta Tournament after leading Gainesville to the championship. He knows how to use his size and strength inside with his ability to post up and seal defenders inside. He finishes well inside and he bodies up well on the other end with good position defense.
Zane Reed 6’1″ Pattonsburg: Talented wing guard who helped lead the Panthers to the championship of the Gilman City Tournament. He has a nice stroke from 3-point range with good handles and a good overall feel for the game. He is currently averaging 15 points a game.
Dalton Collins 6’3 Fayette: A nice size wing player who has a good shooting stroke from 3-point range and the ability to create for himself off the dribble. He broke out big last night with 31 points and a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat Hallsville 79-78.
