A look at the players who made the biggest jumps in the updated class of 2022 player rankings...

No. 23 [player_tooltip player_id="950101" first="Ben" last="Olson"] (Sun Prairie)

Just see Olson as one of the top Division 2 prospects the state has to offer. The junior wing averaged 19 points per game in a shortened season. The 6-foot-5 wing is a physical, athletic slasher who’s now shooting the ball well from the outside. A blue collar prospect that doesn’t take plays off, Olson is just a worker that grinds on the glass, defensively, and makes hustle plays.

No. 43 [player_tooltip player_id="865854" first="Marcus" last="Tomashek"] (Ashwaubenon)

Tomashek has Ashwaubenon rolling into the playoffs. The junior guard is having a monster season, averaging 23.2 points per game on a squad with multiple college prospects. The 6-foot-4 guard is a sniper from 3-point range, but has also added some off-the-dribble scoring ability to his arsenal. Tomashek is really good and getting into defenders and stepping back to create space in the mid-range.

No. 51 [player_tooltip player_id="1085205" first="Dan" last="Gherezgher"] (Brookfield East)

Gonna start Gherezgher just outside the top 50 for now, but he’s definitely someone that will likely continue to rise once we see him in AAU. In his first season on varsity, Gherezgher averaged around 15 points per game for Brookfield East. A 6-foot-3 guard with length and terrific shooting ability off the dribble, Gherezgher has a scorer’s mentality. Also a standout defender, Gherezgher is willing to lock people up all 94 feet up the floor.

No. 58 [player_tooltip player_id="1129309" first="Will" last="Boser"] (Eau Claire Memorial)

In the midst of a breakout season, Boser is putting up 21.5 points per game as a junior. He’s scored in double figures in every game this season while playing in a very good league. A long range shooter with positional size (6-4), Boser has hit 72 triples while shooting 39 percent from downtown.

No. 64 [player_tooltip player_id="1112164" first="Jake" last="Fisher"] (Oconmowoc)

Another prospect who might still be too low on this list, Fisher averaged 21 points and three assists per game as a junior. Not going to wow anybody with skill and athleticism, but just knows how to play the game. The 6-foot-1 guard has an extremely good feel on the ball and get beat defenders in a variety of ways. Fisher is able to put a lot of pressure on defenses with his quick first step off the dribble and ability to post up as a guard.

No. 70 [player_tooltip player_id="1029759" first="Jalen" last="Carlino"] (Kenosha Bradford)

Carlino is averaging 16 points and four assists per game this season. With his length, Carlino plays a bit bigger than 6-feet tall. He’s got break-you-down ability on the ball and shoots it well off the catch or the dribble. Also a pesky defender who plays the passing lanes, Carlino ignites the fast break for Bradford and turns defense into offense.
