In this post we look at players in central Massachusetts who you should watch
TJ powers Worcester academy, Ht 6-8 position PF, class Sophomore
TJ is a long forward who is now grown into his body. TJ is super strong and athletic. TJ made his name known last year in the state tournament vs with 39 points vs Lemonster. He was dominant in the post That game taking many high percentage shots. Tj can also stretch the floor making him a matchup night mare for anyone who has to guard him. TJ is an elite level talent that has the potential to play at the d1 level, and maybe even high level d1. Tj powers is one of the best players in his class in Massachusetts and ranked number one in New England on prep hoops. Tj has a very smooth game and every coach should take note.
Justin Dadah,, Leominster, Ht 6-2, position forward, class Sophomore
Justin is a sophomore with lots of potential. Justin has guard skills and is great out in transition. He is able to finished well, and he has made some tough finishes this season. He shoots a high percentage from 3, even with an unorthodox looking shot at times. On defense Justin can match up with guards or players bigger than him. Leominster is off to a good start, and Justin has been a big part of the success.
C.J happy Wachusett , HT 6-8, position C, class sophomore
Central mass has a loaded sophomore class and CJ fits right in. CJ is a center and can do what a traditional big man does. On defense CJ is a force in the paint with his shot block ability. I like his ability to not leave his feet on defense, and block shots without fouling. On offense CJ is able to use his strength and back down people in the post. For a big man, CJ is one of the better passers out there. CJ is not a lights out shooter, but does have the ability to stretch the floor and hit the occasional 3. CJ is just so strong that he can over power players. CJ really catches the ball high in the post, and squares up to the basket well.
James Whittemore Auburn High school. Class Junior. Position F, Ht 6-6
James is a power forward who has really been involving in his time at Auburn. Last season James was a great player off the bench, and this year he will have an even bigger impact. Jakes Is stretch big. I really like James on the pick roll. People forget about pick and roll fundamentals, but I think James is really sound rolling off screens.
Tommy Dunn, Holy Name, Position guard, class Junior
Tommy is one of the best scorers in central mass. His game is so smooth. Tommy gets a lot of attention from defenses, and when he is doubled, he is good at getting the ball to the open player. Even still though with all the attention, Tommy still puts up huge numbers. Tommy is not just a scorer as he can impact the game in other ways as well. Tommy has had games of 25 and 30 points, and is averaging 20 points a game.
