SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA – On a Friday evening, 120 players both ranked and unranked gathered for the Bring Your Game LA Bubble Showcase.  The event consisted of 3 high level exhibition games and a top 40 and top 20 game.  Prep Hoops takes a look at some of the standout forwards who stood out at the event.

Elijah Price Elijah Price Elijah Price 6'8" | PF St. Anthony | 2022 State CA-S (6’9” St. Anthony, 2022) One of the biggest stock risers and impact players in the BYGLA Bubble was the 6’9″ long and athletic Elijah Price Elijah Price Elijah Price 6'8" | PF St. Anthony | 2022 State CA-S .  The 2022 prospect showed off his impressive defense at the showcase utilizing his length to alter shots and disrupt passing lanes.  Price shows good ball handling and also an improved jumper.  Price is progressing quite nicely and still has potential to get even better.  He currently holds an offer from Loyola Marymount and should garner more interest as time goes on. Price was voted into the top 40 game by coaches.

Kingsley Ijeoma (6’8″ SCA, 2021) The two way finisher originally from Houston is another forward who saw his stock increase after the Bubble. Ijeoma is a high energy prospect who runs the floor well and has a high motor.  He does a great job staying active on the glass and is a good defender.  Ijeoma is a high level athlete who is a fast leaper.  He had one of the showcase’s biggest moments when he threw down a put back dunk in a double overtime win.  Coaches looking for an athletic forward with a high ceiling should keep their eyes on Ijeoma.  He was voted into the top 20 game by coaches.

Jaidyn Simpson Jaidyn Simpson Jaidyn Simpson 6'2" | SG Colony | 2023 State CA-S (6’4″ Colony, 2023)  Just a couple months ago, Simpson was standing at 6’1.  Hitting a growth spurt, Simpson now stands 6’4″ and has wider shoulders and a bigger body.  The 6’4″ forward seems to keep growing and doesn’t look like he will stop anytime soon.  Simpson has evolved into a contact absorbing finisher who also has a consistent 3 pt jumper.  He does most of his damage by driving into the lane and finishing through contact.  Simpson displayed his much improved jumper by hitting both mid range and several three pointers over the course of the showcase.  If a season does happen, Colony HS will field one of the most improved players in the division. Simpson was voted into the top 40 game.

Quinton Webb Quinton Webb Quinton Webb 6'7" | PF Etiwanda | 2022 State CA-S (6’8″ Etiwanda, 2022) Still a year younger than most on his class, you could never tell on the court as Webb is one of the highest flying and hardest working guys on the floor.  The 6’8″ forward is an excellent finisher in the paint.  Once he gets into the key, he can finish with either hand, showing patience on the block.  On the fast break, Webb is more than just a high flying finisher, he also displays the ability to stretch the floor and hit outside shots.   Webb was selected to the top 20 game.

Anthony Swift Anthony Swift Anthony Swift 6'6" | SF Arrowhead | 2026 WI (6’6″ SCA, 2021) The 6’6″ wing is an impressive overall player.  Swift is a gifted scorer who can fill the bucket in various ways.  He is a consistent shooter who can space the floor and also mixes it up by driving through holds and attacking the rim.  Swift is a physical and skilled player who on the other end can guard multiple positions.  He uses his length to alter shots and hold his own against taller guys and can also move his feet and move laterally and stay in front of smaller guys.  He also does a good job of hitting the glass and creating extra possessions for his team.  Swift was voted into the top 20 game by coaches.
