Prep Hoops Michigan has updated it’s prospect rankings for the class of 2023. There are over 150 players on the list. We will look at 5 of the newcomers to the Michigan sophomore rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130937" first="Dwayne" last="Ray"] (PG, North Farmington)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #56

Let’s face it, North Farmington is a really good and really talented team this season. To be a sophomore and play varsity basketball there, you’ve got to be a really talented player. Ray is just that. I like his vertical speed and decision making. He really could be the next man up on the perimeter in a tough program.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130949" first="Zachary" last="Kroetsch"] (PG, Croswell-Lexington)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #86

Kroetsch should have been ranked before, but hey, it’s nice to enter the list inside the top 100. A little birdie told me to watch film and keep my eye on him, and boy was he right. Kroetsch, in typical Croswell-Lexington fashion, will be a high level lead guard for years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130672" first="Luciano" last="Guerrazzi"] (PF, Lansing Catholic)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #138

College coaches are going to want to give Guerrazzi a look. He’s a skilled 6-5 power forward that attacks the glass and tries to pull it down from it’s highest point. Guerrazzi is pretty bouncy underneath and can get out in transition and run the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130940" first="Micah" last="Saunders"] (SG, Adrian)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #141

My first time really seeing Saunders play was at Let’s Get Ready this fall. Within 30 seconds of the opening tip, he had my pen on paper. He used his quickness to jump passing lanes and attacked the rim with no concern for the trees underneath.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130945" first="Grant" last="Stockford"] (SF, Clinton)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #149

It’s nice to see a small town kid crack the list. Stockford is off to a really nice start this season and deserves the recognition. He’s a solid rebounder and has a nice upside as a prospect. Stockford is certainly a player to keep an eye on as his game continues to develop.
