Weekend Roundup Idaho Falls Metro

<p>Basketball is being played across the state of Idaho with plenty of great players and teams trying to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. The players are starting to play with a new fire of intensity with the addition of fans in attendance on a limited and socially-distanced basis. Let’s take a look at some of the latest games from Idaho Falls Metro this past weekend. </p> <p><strong>West Side hangs on over Rich (UT)</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At Rich, [player_tooltip player_id="969492" first="Bryler" last="Shurtliff"]’s showed his versatility as a scorer by having 21 points to lead the way for West Side. He accounted for almost 50 percent of the scoring as West Side went onto win 44-40. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">West Side is now 6-1 and might be one who are flying somewhat under the radar in the Idaho Falls Metro. </span></p> <p><strong>North Gem wins both of their Back-to-Backs</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">North Gem put the pedal down early on Sho-Ban and the Cowboys ran away early and never took off their foot off the gas. North gem was a basket away from putting up 100 on Sho-Ban. Instead, the squad settled for a 98-26 victory. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The starters only played a quarter and half which showcased the depth North Gem has and why they’re a formidable team not just in Idaho Falls Metro but in the state. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="919703" first="James" last="Bodily"] led the way with 26 while [player_tooltip player_id="969916" first="Bridger" last="Hatch"] contributed 18. The team put up 98 with only 4 players in double figures which showcases how everyone on the squad was contributing.</span></p> <p>North Gem did not let Friday be their own victory over the weekend. The squad then traveled to Challis on Saturday and won in dominant fashion 76-43. The squad got off to a quick lead and led by 15 after the first.
