Thursday night saw a slew of action across the state of Nebraska from various conference tournaments, as well as some inter-city and close proximity rivalry games. Here some standout performers from Thursday night’s slate of games.

[player_tooltip player_id="1018738" first="Connor" last="Millikan"] - Platteview

In the semi-finals of the first-ever Trailblazer Conference Tournament, Platteview hosted Beatrice in a rematch from an earlier meeting that ironically enough also caused me to write about [player_tooltip player_id="1018738" first="Connor" last="Millikan"]. On Thursday night the standout sophomore notched 24 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocked shots. Beatrice hung around for the majority of the game but then Millikan took over. He was not only getting to the rim to finish strong, but he was also making plays for his teammates down the stretch as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="971732" first="Trey" last="Deveaux"] - Norris

There are not many athletes in Class B basketball like 6’5 Norris senior [player_tooltip player_id="971732" first="Trey" last="Deveaux"]. He finished the Titans’ EMC conference semi-final victory over Bennington with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Deveaux’s bread and butter is finishing in the paint around the rim. He’s a very strong finisher and plays very smart.

[player_tooltip player_id="890474" first="Carter" last="Glenn"] - Lincoln East

Glenn has been on an absolute tear for the Spartans since he made his season debut. He is averaging more than 20 points a night and is doing so while playing with a dislocated shoulder. A 5’11 senior guard, Glenn is tough as nails and is a standout football player as well. On Thursday night Lincoln East hosted Lincoln Southeast in an important city matchup. Glenn led the Spartans with 21 points on 8-12 shooting on the night as East defended home court and got a big city win.

Other Notables

[player_tooltip player_id="890476" first="Brady" last="Timm"] - Yutan

The Doane commit had 18 points in the Chieftans’ Sarpy County Showdown win over Ashland-Greenwood

Drew Christo - Elkhorn

The Nebraska Baseball commit can get it done on the hardwood too, as he had 18 points for the Antlers in the EMC Semi-Finals against Waverly

[player_tooltip player_id="1018717" first="Owen" last="Hancock"] - Wahoo

The sophomore guard led the Warriors with 19 points in a win over Plattsmouth

Tadan Bell - Columbus

Led the Discoverers with 22 points including 6-9 shooting from 3 in a Maroon Cup Rivalry win over Norfolk
