The unsigned senior class in North Carolina has a ton of talent left on the board. Here's a look at some prospects that made some noise this past week in the 2021 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="575163" first="Javonte" last="Waverly"] | 6’4 Guard/Wing | Henderson Collegiate

Henderson Collegiate is 3-1 on the young season with a loss to The Burlington School this past week, but they’re in good shape with [player_tooltip player_id="575163" first="Javonte" last="Waverly"] leading the charge. He’s produced 14.8 ppg, 5.8 apg, 5.5 rpg and 2.3 spg through their first four contests and they’re already 3-0 in the North Central Athletic Conference. He’s shooting 57 percent from the field and 40 percent from the behind the arc and showed that he’s more than capable of making plays for others. Look for him to play a big role in their quest for another state title. UNC-Greensboro and Elon have offered him.

[player_tooltip player_id="838062" first="Glynn" last="Hubbard III"] | 6’3 Guard | Northside Christian

Hubbard is a shifty guard that’s hard to stay in front of and he uses that to his advantage to make plays for himself and others. He put up a big 27 points against Moravian Prep’s National squad in the month of January and as they adjust to the addition of [player_tooltip player_id="1008900" first="Jahseem" last="Felton"], the Knights will be a squad to keep an eye on as is Hubbard. He’s got three-level ability that will make any coach at the next level look good. He holds offers from UAB, Samford and Florida Atlantic.

[player_tooltip player_id="574430" first="Justin" last="Taylor"] | 6'3 Guard/Wing | Carmel Christian

Taylor continues to impress in the Carmel Christian rotation. He's putting up 14.0 ppg, 4.4 apg and 3.5 rpg in 2020-21 and he put up his second double-double (12 pts, 10 asts) of the season in a win over Northside Christian on Thursday. He's the team's third-leading scorer while leading them in assists per game, which isn't a bad role to play for a 6-foot-3 prospect on the wing. Look for him to continue to grow as a distributor and scorer on all three levels. He holds offers from South Florida, Elon, North Carolina A&T, Winthrop, Mount St. Mary's and Charleston Southern.

[player_tooltip player_id="574464" first="Cole" last="Sinclair"] | 6'1 Guard | Durham Academy

Sinclair will go down in history already as one of the most decorated players in Durham Academy history. In 2020-21, he's producing 21.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.2 apg and 1.1 spg as the Cavaliers are 7-4 on the season. He's posted over 30+ points three times already including 36 points to open the season against Cary Academy. He's shooting 43 percent from behind the arc and 49 percent from the field as well, showing off his efficiency as a scorer on all three levels. He's got a nice skillset for the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1105830" first="Joshua" last="Bryant"] | 6’1 Guard | Living Water Christian

Bryant continues to lead the way for Living Water Christian as they’re 11-2 on the season and 5-0 in conference action. He’s posting 17.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.5 apg and 1.1 spg in 2020-21. He put up 16 points including two made 3-pointers against Gramercy Christian on Friday night in a 64-61 victory. He’s shooting 56 percent from the field and 43 percent from behind the arc in the Warriors’ backcourt. He likes to rebound in bunches and push the pace and when he does, good things tend to happen.

[player_tooltip player_id="1120312" first="Camden" last="Johnson"] | 6’2 Guard | Metrolina Christian Academy

Johnson is putting up strong numbers, especially in the month of January, for Metrolina Christian Academy. On the season, he’s averaging 15.5 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 3.7 apg amd 2.4 spg as a prototypical big guard prospect. He put up a season-high 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting in a win over Cabarrus Charter on Jan. 15 then a week later he put up 27 points in an upset victory over Charlotte Christian on Friday. He shot 10-of-16 from the field in that one. He’s an underrated prospect that can get to his spots and finish on all three levels. He’s shooting 42 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the arc in 2020-21.

[player_tooltip player_id="932117" first="Dylan" last="Drinkwater"] | 6’0 Guard | Panther Creek

[player_tooltip player_id="932117" first="Dylan" last="Drinkwater"] is an unsigned name to know in the 2021 class. He’s proven to be quite the playmaker and scorer in the Panther Creek rotation over the past few seasons. He’s producing 10.8 ppg, 6.0 apg, 2.8 spg and 1.8 rpg in the lineup in 2020-21. He’s done well to setup [player_tooltip player_id="574432" first="Daylen" last="Berry"] on the wing then been an even bigger presence on the defensive end. His athleticism has come along as well as he looks to make highlights at the rim off steals on the break. He’s a prospect on the rise at Panther Creek.

[player_tooltip player_id="838069" first="Daymon" last="Beckwith"] | 6’0 Guard | Liberty Christian Academy

Beckwith has been a familiar face at PrepHoops that continues to grow. He’s averaging 20.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg and 2.0 apg in his senior season at Liberty Christian Academy. He’s a guard that can operate on all three levels and finds his offense with relative ease. He put up a season-high 30 points on seven made 3-pointers against Community Christian back on Dec. 22. He’s shooting 52 percent from 3-point range on the season and 51 percent from the field as their primary scorer on the Heat.

[player_tooltip player_id="838033" first="Brady" last="Rankin"] | 6’3 Guard | Northwood Temple

Rankin continues to play solid on the wing on a scrappy Northwood Temple squad. He’s putting up 14.7 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.9 spg and 1.0 apg in 2020-21 and shooting 44 percent from the field and 40 percent from behind the arc for the Eagles. He put up 23 points, matching his season-high on 6-of-10 shooting and five made 3-pointers in a big win over Wayne Country Day. He’s a sharpshooter that also gets after it on the defensive end. He also does well to get to the free throw line by creating off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050009" first="Carlos" last="Raven"] | 6’0 Guard | Wayne Country Day School

Raven has really found his way in the Wayne Country Day School rotation, especially operating without the ball. He’s still managed to produce 15.1 ppg, 5.1 apg, 4.2 rpg and 2.8 spg while sharing the court with a talented backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id="574440" first="Mike" last="Best"] and [player_tooltip player_id="533552" first="Jaden" last="Cooper"]. While he’s managed to score in double-figures in their last six games, he’s also managed to dish out at least two assists across the same span and has dished out at least six on three occasions. He’s really developed as more than a scorer and is a guard worth monitoring by colleges in the state of North Carolina.

[player_tooltip player_id="932064" first="Zech" last="Gibson"] | 6'6 Guard/Wing | Calvary Day School

Gibson is a versatile prospect that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor. He can do multiple things well with his size and athleticism at 6-foot-6. He's already put together two double-doubles to go along with his double-figure scoring efforts in 2020-21. His second of the season (17 pts, 12 rebs) came against SouthLake Christian Academy on Jan. 14. He's averaging 14.4 ppg, 6.7 rpg and 2.1 apg and shooting 41 percent (11-of-27) from 3-point range through nine games. He's one of a few names to keep an eye on in their backcourt.
