Week 10 is underway and we have got a big slate of high school hoops going on this week in Indiana. Let us dive on in and take a look at some highlights of Tuesday’s night of hoops.

Caleb and Zeke Niehaus drop 20

In what was a beatdown of a game, Castle defeated Evansville Mater Dei 70-38. What was great about this game was that both Niehaus brothers combined for 40 of those 70 points with Zeke Niehaus with 20 points, including 5 threes, and Caleb Niehaus also with 20 points, including 4 threes. Senior stud PG [player_tooltip player_id="783164" first="Isaiah" last="Swope"] kind of took a backseat in this one but he also contributed 7 points and 5 assists. Landen Folz was the leading scorer for Mater Dei with 13 points. This was a huge win for Castle beating a very good Mater Dei team (8-5). Castle, now 4-4, will have an even tougher challenge this weekend when they travel to Barr-Reeve on Saturday.

Blackhawk survives tough Dwenger

Last night saw Blackhawk Christian beat a tough Bishop Dwenger team 57-49. Dwenger fought as hard as they could this game but Blackhawk is just one of those teams that you are going to have to play almost perfect to beat. Purdue commit and potential Mr. Basketball winner [player_tooltip player_id="529561" first="Caleb" last="Furst"] dropped 18 points and was just his usual dominate self. On the other side, Dwenger was led by [player_tooltip player_id="870283" first="Owen" last="Shively"] with 13 points and [player_tooltip player_id="874145" first="Brenden" last="Lytle"] with 7 points and 7 assist. Blackhawk will take on Woodlan on Saturday while Dwenger will have a chance to bounce back when they hose Fort Wayne South on Friday.

Martinsville upsets Edgewood

In what was without question the biggest upset of the night, the Martinsville Artesians beat the Edgewood Mustangs 62-61. Martinsville (3-9) has been struggling all season long and nobody really expected them to come out on top in this one. Leading scores for the Artesians were Caleb Cheathman with 15 points, Beau Frederick with 14 points, and Caden Rautenkranz with 12 points. Other stats worth noting was that Martinsville was 24 of 41 from the field and 9 for 13 on 3s. [player_tooltip player_id="963902" first="Coleman" last="Sater"] (24 pts, 7 rbs, 7 asts), Caden Huttenlocker (15 pts), and Zeke Powell (14 pts) were the leaders for Edgewood here. Up next, Martinsville has a chance to keep the momentum going when they travel to Franklin on Friday while Edgewood (10-5) will look to bounce back on Friday against West Vigo.
