Coming into the game White Shield had a 3-2 record. Enderlin had a 6-1 record before the game and is ranked #1 in our Power Rankings.

The Warriors from White Shield made a 4-hour cross-state trip for this matchup.

Halftime Score – White Shield 30 Enderlin 37

Final Score – White Shield 53 Enderlin 76

Here are the top players from tonight’s game:

1. [player_tooltip player_id="787658" first="Joe" last="Hurlburt"] (2022) |6-10 F| Enderlin – 31 points with 4 triples and 8-11 at the charity stripe, add in 20 rebounds. His size gave the Warriors fits all night on the glass and he had numerous offensive put backs. Joe’s long arms and leaping ability led to shots being altered /blocked. I was impressed with his long outlet passes and the accuracy that he puts on them. Joe also has a deadly pull-up jumper from mid-range to beyond to the arc. His height allows him to pass out of double teams and find the open man. Joe has impressive handles as well.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="750166" first="Jesse" last="White"] (2021) |5-11 G| White Shield – 27 points with 4 triples and 3-5 from the free-throw line. It was easy to see why his name has been mentioned as a potential Mr. Basketball candidate this year. He is an exceptional rebounder for his size. Jesse has quick hands, on defense that lead to steals. He has great court vision and is an unselfish passer. I was in awe of his precise one-handed passes. He has amazing body control when penetrating and finishing at the rim. Jesse possesses every move in the book when he has the ball in his hands, and he can change gears in a heartbeat. He can hit pull-up 3’s in the D’s face when he chooses. Jesse has NBA range with his 3-point shot. One of his most impressive moves was his up-and-under in the air and the finger-roll finish. He had a highlight-reel block off the backboard while hustling back in transition. Jesse has great hang time when scoring or blocking a shot. He is an acrobatic finisher at the cup. His hustle and stamina were what left me most impressed tonight. Jesse’s charge on defense was the icing on the cake for this all-around baller.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="1126990" first="Jace" last="Dickens"] (2023) |6-3 G| White Shield – 17 points with 5 triples. He is a spot-up three-point shooter. Jace has an ultra-soft shot. He also showed the ability to hit the pull-up jumper. He moves well without the ball and found the open spot for the shot. White found him all night around the perimeter when he was doubled. Jace did nice work setting his feet and getting squared up before he received the pass. He is a great compliment to White.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="812220" first="Gus" last="Hurlburt"] (2022) |6-8 F| Enderlin – 14 points with 1 made three and 3-5 from the line. He did most of his work in the paint tonight and was a force to be reckoned with. He hurt White Shield on the O-glass. His physicality was impressive tonight. Gus had a quick dump-down pass from his brother that he finished with a powerful 2-handed slam in the second half.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="1129974" first="Alijah" last="Dixson"] (2022) |5-10 G| Enderlin – 11 points with 3 triples. He is an energetic defender that worked hard at slowing down White. Alijah seemed to make a three-pointer every time the Eagles needed a basket. He plays with a cool head and does a nice job taking care of the basketball.

6. Danszek Parsons (2021) |6-0 G| Enderlin – 11 points with 2 made threes and 1-1 at the line. He was a nice addition off the bench tonight. “Zeke” does nice work spotting up around the arc when the big guys are doubled inside. He is an opportunistic scorer who did some damage tonight getting transition layups.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="1138807" first="Bryant" last="Wells"] (2023) |6-5 F| White Shield – 4 points on the night. He has nice shooting form from 15 feet on in. He has an extra-long wingspan. He was slowed down by Enderlin’s extreme length on the opposing side. Bryant has loads of potential.
