SubscribeUnfortunately, I only got to see about half of the 2025 field of teams at the Southwest Kickoff, but there were several notable frontcourt workers, scorers, and rebounders among that group that really impressed.
James Murray | SF | JB White Elite | 2025
Among the better-looking overall prospects on hand I saw, incredible length already at around 6-5, covers a ton of ground from A to B, can sky over you, slither around you, or pull up and beat you, then he added an explosive dribble-drive game that was brutal to contain, a monster name to watch coming out of Albuquerque NM.
Chris Lindo | SF | HHBC Lowe | 2025
Appearing to not be at 100% but still impressive with great length and singular athletic ability, played the slasher role, also dove down as a post presence at 6-4, showed off some range from 3, fast off the deck made him among the better rebounders on hand particularly at the offensive end, puts in the work to make and see plays.
Alejandro Aviles | PF | HHBC | 2025
Great size already at around 6-7, nice set of soft hands can make the tough catch in traffic, good feet but needs to settle them down a little, still is quick off the floor and efficient at the cup, can pull it out to 15 feet and knock one down, a beast on the glass at both ends and an absolute eraser at the rim.
Tee Bartlett | C HHBC | 2025
At around 6-8 at this incredibly early age makes for a package of problems for defenses, pretty nimble with a set of feet that like frosting on a cake will even up, spread out and settle, explosive right at the tin as you’d expect with plenty of frame behind it, showed off a soft J from 12 feet or so, glass eater and rim protector and those skills will carry him a long way till the offensive acumen builds.
Sebastian Adams | SF | JL3 | 2025
Slithery wing scorer with great acumen at this stage, really adept at getting through traffic and playing through or around contact, loved seeing him back it off and knock down the open J when things clogged up, active rebounder, advanced scoring mentality with monster room to grow into a big-time prospect.
O’marion Harvey | SF | JL3 | 2025
JL3 didn’t have their best stuff when I saw them against a really good HHBC team but that didn’t take away from the depth of /athletic prowess on display, Harvey was another wing talent with length, skill and moxie beyond his years, another 6-5 smooth mover with finishing capability above the rim, with the J, or off the bounce, could become singularly dominant rebounder with gifts on hand.
Chase Crawford | SF | Drive Nation Red | 2025
Nimble for a big build, good handle to create from the forward spot, not quite as tall as many of the frontcourt he saw but not afraid to get into the middle of things, great fight and will combines with good basketball IQ as a scorer, rebounder and defender.
Daniel Lovato | C | JB White Elite | 2025
Fighter and hustler for a deep group of options, much more athletic than he appears using all of his 6-5, loved the shot-blocking prowess and timing, pure glass cleaner with terrific hands, showed skill and versatility with the dribble-drive and creativity with the floater game.
Ethan Evans | PF | Razorbacks Elite | 2025
Undersized PF but plays a whole lot bigger than his 6-1, really went after it on the glass and defending taller players, also showed plenty of capability finishing near the basket battling through tight spaces, really good athlete who will really become a greater threat when he regularly pulls posts further from the basket to utilize the mid-range and dribble drive.
