The Skyland Conference is one of the top conferences in the Garden State with three programs finishing in the top 10 last season. Rutgers Prep and Gill St. Bernard’s are powerhouses in New Jersey, while Watchung Hills is one of the top Group 4 programs. Hunterdon Central is also a strong team with top returning scorer [player_tooltip player_id="900306" first="Brian" last="Johannsson"] committing to Johns Hopkins. The Skyland Conference still has plenty of available prospects who will make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available players in the Skyland Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="929528" first="Trevor" last="Bokach"], 6’4 CG Watchung Hills

The Warriors have consistently been one of the top teams in the Skyland Conference over the last three seasons and that should continue with Bokach returning. The 6’4 guard plays with good court vision and is always looking for the open man in the half court. Bokach is decisive when he attacks the basket and can finish through contact. He is a tough on-ball defender and has a knack for getting deflections. Bokach is a two-way guard whose unselfish play will be a huge benefit for a program.

[player_tooltip player_id="900322" first="Davie" last="McLarty"], 6’1 SG Bound Brook

The Crusaders are one of the top Group 1 programs in the state and McLarty’s play is a big reason why. He has a nice handle and can finish in a variety of ways around the basket. McLarty is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can hit the open man when he gets into the lane. He plays with quick hands on the defensive end and is a good rebounder for a guard. McLarty’s combination of athleticism, toughness and skill makes him an intriguing prospect to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="900361" first="Anthony" last="Milligan"], 6’3 SG Franklin

Franklin had an up and down 2019-20 season, but the Warriors are in good hands on the offensive end with Franklin in the backcourt. The 6’3 lefty has a smooth shooting stroke and does not force his shot in the halfcourt. Franklin can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He works hard on the defensive end and fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Milligan’s shooting touch along with his defense should allow for him to see the floor early in his collegiate career.

[player_tooltip player_id="929527" first="Kyle" last="Rolon"], 6’3 SG Somerville

Somerville has to replace three of its top four scorers, but the Hilltoppers should expect a big senior season out of Rolon. The 6’3 guard has one of the smoothest shooting forms in the Garden State and does not need a lot of space to get his shot off. Rolon moves exceptionally well off the ball, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups. He plays with energy on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Rolon is a big-time shooter which should help his stock tremendously during the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="929517" first="Cam’Ron" last="Summers"], 6’4 SF Bound Brook

The second Crusader on this list, Summers is ready for a strong 2021 campaign. The 6’4 wing has a good touch around the basket, but also has the ability to bury jumpers from distance. Summers is also capable of running the offense in a pinch as evidenced by his triple-double against Great Oaks Charter in the second game of the season. He is a force on the glass and is a play-maker on the defensive end. Summers’ versatility is huge as he can do a variety of things to help a team win at the next level.

Other Prospects to Know:

[player_tooltip player_id="900358" first="Reese" last="Swittenberg"], 6’2 PG Pingry

[player_tooltip player_id="929526" first="Jake" last="Schapiro"], 6’2 SG Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id="1039491" first="Matt" last="Csikowski"], 6’1 SG Hunterdon Central

[player_tooltip player_id="1012985" first="Sebastian" last="Charles"], 6’3 SG Rutgers Prep

[player_tooltip player_id="1013022" first="Demi" last="Alao"], 6’3 SF Franklin
