The updated Prep Hoops player rankings will be out next month. While not the perfect circumstances, we have had a chance to track and evaluate some players. Many of them have used the opportunity to rise in the rankings. In this article, we take a look at some potential stockrisers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1057880" first="Hayden" last="Dunn"] 6’5 SF Bishop Gorman 2024 Currently #30 PH 2024 - Dunn’s IQ and rebounding give him an excellent opportunity to move up the list. Between Vegas Elite and West Coast Rebels, he’s played quite a bit of basketball and seems to get better every game. When you add in his size and length, he certainly has a shot to develop into a prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="859644" first="Dontrell" last="Johnson"] 6’5 PF Bonanza 2022 Currently #13 PH 2022 - The one thing that helps Johnson the most is his energy and effort. He goes hard 100% of the time, and it is that skill alone that allows him to be a vicious rebounder, rim runner, and finisher. His play has started to gain attention as more coaches begin to inquire about him.

[player_tooltip player_id="985637" first="Tylen" last="Riley"] 6’0 CG Durango 2023 Currently #15 PH 2023 - Riley has a chance to be an outstanding basketball player. Long arms and quick feet make for a deadly combination and Riley has both. Having seen him recently, he is evolving into a big-time defender. Still improving his offense, Riley score’s effectively off dribble drives and in transition. He’s part of a good young crop for the Trailblazers.

[player_tooltip player_id="985598" first="Sean" last="Klekas"] 6’0 PG Elko 2021 Currently #95 PH 2021 - I’m curious as to what kind of season Klekas would have put together in a normal year. His value doesn’t always show up in the stat sheet, plus Elko has a couple of other scorers. On the other hand, there were probably going to be a handful of nights where he was the best player on the floor. As it is, the #95 player on our board is vastly under-ranked and could slide in to be a college player at some level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1044822" first="Naurese" last="Meno"] 6’3 SG Losee 2021 Currently #77 PH 2021 - Meno’s shooting gives him a chance. He was a 3 point threat his junior year, and he has carried that over to his Club team. Meno will also give you defense, and fight for rebounds. Over the course of the last 18 months, the #77 prospect in our rankings has opened some JUCO and small college opportunities.
