[player_tooltip player_id="594549" first="Harrison" last="Ingram"] - Southern Assault Prep - F

[player_tooltip player_id="594549" first="Harrison" last="Ingram"] dropped 28 in Southern Assault Prep’s only game of the showcase and showed everyone that stayed for the final game of day one of the showcase just how good he actually is. Ingram’s offensive game screams NBA-ready and that is not a stretch. He takes advantage of smaller defenders with his back to the basket, knocks down open three’s at a high rate, and scores on the drive with ease and consistency. His length combined with his size and athleticism makes him a matchup nightmare and no one that TWCA threw at him could slow him down.

[player_tooltip player_id="889590" first="Austin" last="Benigni"] - TWCA - G

If scoring 41 points in a showcase game doesn’t earn someone a spot on the best scorers list then I don’t know what will. Benigni has the ability to score any way he wants and he exploits the defense in every way possible. If the defense sags off, he’ll pull up from NBA-range. If the defense plays too tightly, he’ll blow by the defense and go get a layup. Benigni’s intensity and killer instinct on the offensive end makes him a player that always needs to be accounted for and opposing teams have to plan around his ability to score.

[player_tooltip player_id="961962" first="TJ" last="Burch"] - TCCH - G

[player_tooltip player_id="961962" first="TJ" last="Burch"] offensive game is silky smooth and he is only a sophomore. In TCCH’s narrow loss to TACA, Burch finished with 39 points while shooting 16-26 from the field. To score upwards of 30 points, most players knock down a couple of three’s and get to 30 points that way. But not Burch. Burch didn’t knock down a single three in his 39-point scoring day while still putting the ball in the bucket 16 different times. That is almost unheard of at the high school level. I fully expect Burch’s stock to continue to increase as he will quickly become a household name in the basketball world of DFW.

[player_tooltip player_id="958598" first="Jason" last="Thirdkill Jr."] - TACA and CREATE Academy - G/F

[player_tooltip player_id="958598" first="Jason" last="Thirdkill Jr."] was a monster on the offensive end at the Holiday Showdown and he showed off a very-much improved game from the outside as well as much more efficient overall play. He has the ability to be a first option for a team but also can still can contribute as a scorer without being the first option. In a game that Thirdkill Jr. was the second option for his team, he still found a way to score 28 points. "Baby KD" aka [player_tooltip player_id="958598" first="Jason" last="Thirdkill Jr."] has a bright future ahead of him as he heads into the final stretch of his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="889561" first="Austin" last="Nunez"] - TACA - G

[player_tooltip player_id="889561" first="Austin" last="Nunez"] scored 49 points over TACA’s two games at the showcase and showed off his ability to score to everyone in attendance. Although most people will remember his performance at the showcase by his game-winning three against TWCA, his ability to score inside the arc should not be overlooked. He scored well in transition, exploited the defense sagging off with his floater, and he got to the basket in the halfcourt.
