It is absolutely crazy to think that we have gotten this far along in the seasoon. With that said we have had a lot of players have some crazy games and some players are just off to an amazing season. Some prospects are doing it all and some are lighting up the scoreboard. We are taking a quick dive into who are the Mr. Basketball candidates inour opinion at tis early juncture of the season.

The Favorite

[player_tooltip player_id="755612" first="Ethan" last="Potter"], Layton High School: We honestlty thought that he was going to have a big year but this has been a surprise as he is utting up monster numbers. The Utah Valley University signee made a splash by not only staying in-state but by choosing UVU he made a path for himself and he was not following in anyone else’s footsteps. Ethan has been versitle this season when it comes to his offensive game but he is just a load inside. The Class of 2021 SF is averaging 30+ points a game and has flirted with 40 points a few times. With a few easier games on the schedule look for him to continue his dominance. There are a few things he could do to bolster his resume and that is continue to win. Ethan has surpassed the 1,000 point mark and will hit 500 rebounds and 100 assist.

The Second Favorite

[player_tooltip player_id="1046067" first="Jaxon" last="Kohler"], American Fork High School: When you’re one of the top players in the country in the Class of 2022. Jaxon is a player that is just impossible to guard 1 on 1 and he always finds ways to make teams pay for sending a doouble team. Jaxon has been given the nickname of Baby Joker because he has some great footwork and finishing skills that are comparable to this current NBA All-Star. Jaxon is scoring 19 points a game on the top ranked team in 6A. He could be tough to beat if they win it all. With multiple Division 1 offers it is hard to tell what school kohler is leaning towards.

Others in the Mix
