With area, play winding down and teams gearing up for the playoffs this group of guys are several of many players throughout the state that are putting on for their respective teams.

Since the flip of the calendar to a new year and this senior class seeing the beginning of the end of their senior seasons and high school careers you can see the sense of urgency in their play.

Take a look at this group of seniors that have either put up huge numbers or lead their squads to wins in multiple ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="763031" first="JD" last="Davison"], 6’3 PG, Calhoun: Goes without say he had an outstanding January averaging over 30 points per game leading his #3 ranked tigers in class 2A. If you weren’t able to catch it just go to youtube or check out any basketball content creator local or national and you can see it for yourself.

[player_tooltip player_id="613494" first="Brody" last="Peebles"], 6’2 CG, Hartselle: Again if you weren’t able to catch any of his games this month after you’re done checking out JD search Brodie you won’t be disappointed. With several 30 and 40 balls in the month, he is making a strong push for Mr. Basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id="801037" first="Cameron" last="Crawford"], 6'4 SG, Spain Park: To say this kid is having a huge month is an understatement. He eclipsed the 1,000 point mark this week in a 38 point outburst in a win for the Jaguars. His mentality seems to have completely changed since the turn of the calendar with several big-time scoring outings.

[player_tooltip player_id="801047" first="Greedy" last="Williams"], 6'3 PG, Pinson Valley: He is nearly averaging a triple-double in the month of January. Since he has taken over point guard duties the #2 Indians have only lost one game all month and look like a real contender for the state championship in the class 6A.

[player_tooltip player_id="886965" first="Riley" last="Leonard"], 6'6 SF, Fairhope: Another kid whose highlights have lit up the internet all month long with dunk contest style dunks in games. His numbers are there to match also as he has been a walking double-double all month long. He is currently leading the #1 team in the class 7A.

[player_tooltip player_id="887005" first="Nathan" last="Johns"], 6’6 SF, Jemison: Ok, when you go look at his numbers for the month they look very video game-like. I mean 30 and 40 point double-doubles. He is doing it all for his top 10 ranked squad in 5A and doing his best keeping them in contention night in and night out. He has 119 points over the past 3 games averaging 40 points and 14 rebounds a night over that span. #BoyStop!!
