Cedar City Showcase: Glue Guys

<p>The Cedar City Showcase takes place this Sunday and will feature some of the top programs in Nevada. The event which has a 3 game guarantee, provides an excellent opportunity for players to compete, as well as gain much-needed exposure. In this article, we preview some of the top glue guys participating in the event. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="985598" first="Sean" last="Klekas"] <em>6’0 PG Elko 2021 (#95PHN 2021)</em> - Klekas is the epitome of a glue guy, he doesn’t take many shots for the club, but he always seems willing to take the big one. The PG led the team in assist last season, setting up teammates, and was among the team leaders in steals. </p> <p><strong>Robert Gibson</strong> <em>6’4 PF Purple Reign 2022</em> - If there is dirty work needed to be done, expect Gibson to do it. The undersized power forward relishes sticking his nose in for rebounds and taking charges. He may go an entire game without ever taking a shot, while still being one of the most impactful players on the floor. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="927144" first="Davyon" last="Rowe"] <em>6’0 SF Big Show Ballers 2021 (#51PHN 2021)</em> (featured image) - "Day, Day" or baby Draymond as I like to call him is a throwback, hard hat guy. If you need a rebound, he’ll go get it, low post defense, watch him battle as an undersized 4, need a big shot, Rowe will step out and knock down a 3. It will be fun to watch him battle for his squad this week. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1035066" first="Tristan" last="Sobers"] <em>6’4 C Team Rougue 2021 (#69PHN 2021)</em> - Sobers is a big post that loves to battle. He uses good fundamentals and technique to rebound in traffic. Sobers will also score off putbacks around the rim. He’s a dedicated screen setter that relishes the opportunity to free up his teammates. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="986807" first="Michael" last="Socorro"] <em>5’8 PG Blue Hoops 2022 (#51PHN 2022)</em> - Socorro has quite a bit of skill, but he is also the glue that holds a young Blue Hoops nucleus together. The PG will defend, operate the offense and he loves to take the big shot.
