The event featured 5 Nevada club teams and offered an excellent opportunity for players to compete and gain exposure. Several players either not highly or unranked, put together a solid weekend. In this article, we take a look at some eye-opening performances from the event.
Tylen Riley Tylen Riley 6'2" | CG Durango | 2023 State NV 6’0 CG Purple Reign 2023 (#15PHN 2023) – Riley is another talented young player for PR. He has always been a top-notch defensive player. It was his offense that opened my eyes this week. Did a good job scoring in transition and managed to get all the way to the rim off the dribble.
Sean Klekas Sean Klekas 6'0" | PG Elko | 2021 State NV 6’0 PG Elko 2021 (#95PHN 2021) (featured image) – Klekas is a scholarship basketball player IMO. He really opened eyes with his point guard play. He’s a throwback player who understands the importance of getting the right shot. He graded out at or above average in his defense, shooting and passing. Factor in his 3.99 GPA and he’s makes a great fit for the right high academic program.
Devon Richardson 6’3 SF Big Show Ballers 2021 – Easy to see why Richardson opened eyes. A good R&J athlete with decent size. Richardson was able to score, by sprinting the floor and finishing in transition.
Jacob Fogo 5’10 PG Team Rogue 2022 – When I think of Fogo the word that comes to mind is Moxie. He wasn’t one of the main players for TR, however, he made the most of his minutes. He showed a solid handle and displayed the ability to set up teammates.
Andoni Fessenmier 6’2 PF Elko 2022 – He opened eyes by just playing his role. Fessenmier banged down low, rebounded in traffic, and defended multiple positions in perimeter switch situations. A good glue guy that played with a high motor while doing the dirty work to help the team win.
Jackson Silberman 6’3 SG Team Rouge 2022 – I knew that Silberman was a sniper, What opened my eyes was his floor game. The 6’3 wing did a good job of using his shooting as a threat, several times showing the ball and driving to the rim and using a variety of finishes.
