The Beach Ball Classic Winter Jam had its own share of talent on display at the Myrtle Beach Sportscenter. Here’s a look at Part II of the standouts.

[player_tooltip player_id="848062" first="Jaquantae" last="Harris"] | 6’1 Guard | Northwood Temple | 2022

Harris did well playing off the ball with [player_tooltip player_id="932118" first="Manny" last="Sepulveda"] playing the point guard spot. He put up nine points and seven assists against Covenant Day then followed that up with 20 points against Aim High International. His biggest asset is his ability to be a defensive presence using his quickness and strength. He created with ease on the break with the ball in his hands when creating turnovers. He’s an unstoppable downhill threat.

[player_tooltip player_id="1110457" first="Yohann" last="Axel-Sam"] | 6’5 Forward/Center | Northwood Temple | 2021

Axel-Sam is an interesting prospect in the frontcourt alongside [player_tooltip player_id="1105922" first="Julian" last="Williams"]. He’s producing 6.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg as the interior presence for Northwood Temple. He posted 11 points and six rebounds against Covenant Day, who had a strong frontcourt of their own. He doesn’t try to overdo things at the 4/5 spot and stays true to cleaning up the glass and attacking around the rim and paint area. He’ll be a new name to look for when rankings are update mid-February.

[player_tooltip player_id="1110449" first="Ray" last="Bellamy"] | 6’5 Guard/Wing | Moravian Prep | 2021

Bellamy is a prospect that’s slowly climbing up the radar at Moravian Prep this season. He put up 7.5 ppg and showed off his ability to bring energy with his athleticism and ability to attack the paint. He doesn’t talk a lot but his play says a ton given his ability to defend the ball and play on the break. He’s another prospect in the state with a knack for playing defense at a high level. He guarded [player_tooltip player_id="949378" first="Aden" last="Holloway"] well as Moravian Prep defeated them 65-47 though Holloway still had 22 points (five 3-pointers).

[player_tooltip player_id="932061" first="Cedric" last="Patterson"] | 6’1 Guard | Moravian Prep | 2021

Patterson was a spark off the bench on numerous occasions for Moravian Prep at the Beach Ball Classic Winter Jam. He knocked down seven 3-pointers including four in their victory over Piedmont Classical. He finished that game with 13 points and across four contests, he produced 7.5 ppg off the bench. He’s found his niche playing off the ball as this squad’s sharpshooter.

[player_tooltip player_id="918978" first="Jackson" last="Holt"] | 6’3 Shooting Guard | Moravian Prep | 2022

Holt is a sharpshooter that’s worth some notice from colleges in the state of North Carolina. He finished tied with [player_tooltip player_id="838019" first="B.J." last="Freeman"] for a team-high nine 3-pointers across Moravian Prep’s trek in the Beach Ball Winter Classic. He made three apiece in their first three games, proving to be a sharpshooting spark on the wing. He averaged 13.0 ppg across the first three games before sitting their final game out.

[player_tooltip player_id="838038" first="Brent" last="Randleman"] | 6’3 Guard | Piedmont Classical | 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="838038" first="Brent" last="Randleman"] continues to show his growth since his recent move to Piedmont Classical. He produced 10.3 ppg in the Beach Ball Classic Winter Jam as the Bobcats went 2-1 in the event. He finished among the top 3-point shooters with seven made and showed his growth as more than just a dribble driver. He’s become aggressive pushing the ball himself off rebounds. He’s stronger and a lot more aware on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="1110450" first="Lamont" last="McNeil Jr."] | 5’9 Point guard | Piedmont Classical | 2021

McNeil is a new face to track in the 2021 class and with good reason. He’s a strong, quick floor general that does well to control the pace and run the show for the Piedmont Classical Bobcats. He put up 10.0 ppg while showing off his ability to create in the paint and make plays off the bounce. He didn’t try to overdo things often and as a result, the Bobcats were 2-1 at the Winter Jam. He’s a prospect worth noting for teams in need of a point guard.
