4 best players in Christian Brothers’ win over Bartlett

<p>Christian Brothers took care of business on the road Tuesday night, defeating Bartlett (12-6), 76-59, to improve to 15-0 on the season.</p> <p>Head coach Bubba Luckett’s team outscored the home team, 41-28, in the second half.</p> <p>Here are the four best players from the Purple Wave’s win over the Panthers.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="775550" first="Reese" last="McMullen"]</strong>: The senior guard was very patient, moved well without the basketball and took great shots within the offense. McMullen was very active on the defensive end, especially guarding junior guard <strong>Amarr</strong> <strong>Knox</strong>. He made the Memphis commit work for each point. McMullen was around the basketball for the entire night. The Pennsylvania commit led Christian Brothers with 20 points.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996878" first="Chandler" last="Jackson"]</strong>: Despite getting in early foul trouble, Jackson stayed aggressive, pushed the ball up the floor and made solid passes to his teammates for easy transition buckets. Whenever Bartlett tried to press full-court, the 6-foot-5 guard took advantage of it. Whether it was Knox, Will Farris or Terrance Jacobs Jr. guarding him, Jackson went downhill, either scoring or assisting on a score. His best assist of the game was when he broke the Panthers’ full-court press and found senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="775593" first="Harrison" last="Kelly"] in mid-air for the easy layup. Jackson finished with 18.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="537286" first="Eli" last="Federman"]</strong>: Bartlett didn’t seem to respect Federman’s ability to knock down shots from deep. He made two 3s in the game. The Panthers also didn’t realize Federman is a pesky defender. The senior point guard got a steal off an inbounds pass, then made a baseline jumper as the buzzer sounded to give his team a 35-31 lead at halftime. Federman was able to get easy layups in Bartlett’s full-court press. He finished the night with 15 points.</p> <p><strong>Hunter Pratt</strong>: The junior forward rebounded, ran the floor well and finished at the rim. Pratt was able to get easy baskets off the attention Jackson and McMullen were getting. He took advantage of that. Pratt finished with 13 points.</p> <p><strong>Top scorers for Bartlett</strong></p> <p>Knox led the Panthers with 17 points. He scored 10 straight in the third quarter to get his team within four (53-49). Senior guard <strong>Tadarius</strong> <strong>Jacobs</strong> finished with 12.</p> <p>Freshman forward <strong>Rashad</strong> <strong>Williams</strong> started the game off strong on both ends. He finished with eight points, seven rebounds and five blocks.</p>
