In each class, a handful of prospects eventually breakout and pass others ahead of them in the rankings. This article aims to highlight 5 young men from the local 2022 class who could do that.

It’s uncommon to talk about a top-10 guy as a breakout candidate, but Ward is just scratching the surface. He’s shown signs here and there that he can be a difference-maker on both ends, which means expectations will be high. Ward has matured nicely and should be able to handle the additional responsibility.

#32 | [player_tooltip player_id="837939" first="Adam" last="Angwafo"] | Bullis

Angwafo has physical tools that can’t be taught. At 6-foot-7, he has the potential to guard virtually every position on the floor. When things completely click for Angwafo, he could become one of the most sought after recruits in the area.

#60 | [player_tooltip player_id="1049817" first="Shaq" last="Samuels"] | Avalon

Samuels is a powerhouse on the wing with a robust physical profile and an underrated skill set. He is already playing at a high level this winter and is a safe bet to continue doing so. If you’re into versatile players that can fill a myriad of roles, Samuels is your guy.
