The 2021 basketball season is just around the corner with games tipping off on Tuesday. The hardwood has provided plenty of opportunities for the 2021 class, but some prospects are also extremely accomplished in other sports. Here are the top dual-sport athletes in the 2021 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="900332" first="Chad" last="Martini"], 6’6 PF Watchung Hills

Martini was a First-Team All-Group 4 selection last season and is looking to duplicate the feat this season. The Cornell quarterback commit has a nice touch around the basket and is athletic enough to finish over the top of defenders around the rim. Martini is also a skilled passer out of the post and does not mind getting physical down low. He is a force on the glass at both ends and is one of the more underrated shot-blockers in the state. Martini is in line for a big senior season, as he is looking to close out his varsity career in style.

[player_tooltip player_id="929515" first="Logan" last="Jagodzinski"], 6’6 SF Moorestown

Jagodzinski is more than just a dual-sport athlete as he competes in soccer and volleyball along with basketball for the Quakers. The Rochester commit is at his best attacking the basket from the perimeter as he is a good finisher around the basket. Jagodzinski is capable of finishing above the rim and has a nice release on his jumper. He can defend multiple positions on the floor and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Jagodzinski is ready to lead Moorestown this season as the Quakers look to continue their dominance in the BCSL.

[player_tooltip player_id="773397" first="Giye" last="Jenkins"], 6’0 PG Seton Hall Prep

Jenkins ran the Pirates’ offense last season and is looking to do it again this season. The 6’0 lead guard is electric with the ball in his hands and is hard to keep out of the lane. Jenkins is a crafty finisher around the basket and is capable of knocking down open jumpers from the perimeter. He has good instincts on the defensive end, something that carries over from playing defensive back on the football team. Jenkins is a dynamic lead guard who should have Seton Hall Prep among the SEC’s best this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1012961" first="Jack" last="Collins"], 6’5 SG Manasquan

Collins is ready to step into a larger scoring role this season for the Warriors as Manasquan looks to continue its reign atop the Shore Conference. The 6’5 wing has a sweet shooting stroke and is capable of burying triples in bunches. Collins has an underrated handle as he can beat his defender and get to the rim. He plays with toughness on both ends of the floor, which he also brings on the gridiron as he plays on both sides of the ball as a receiver and safety. Collins’ ability to stretch the defense will be vital as Manasquan faces a tough schedule this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="900378" first="Albert" last="Serrano"], 6’1 SG St. Joseph (Mont.)

Serrano is similar to Jagodzinski as he is a three-sport athlete for the Green Knights, competing in football and baseball along with basketball. The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball commit has a good handle and knows how to finish through contact around the basket. Serrano has a nice mid-range game and is capable of running the offense in a pinch. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Serrano is ready for a big senior season as St. Joseph (Mont.) fights for the top spot in Bergen County.

Other Prospects to Know:

[player_tooltip player_id="1016635" first="Joe" last="Lardaro"], 6’5 PF Freehold Township

[player_tooltip player_id="1012966" first="Jiasion" last="Carpenter"], 6’8 PF Freehold Boro

[player_tooltip player_id="1012962" first="Gannon" last="Brady"], 5’11 PG Ocean City

[player_tooltip player_id="900337" first="Toriano" last="Munford"], 6’5 SF/PF Lincoln

[player_tooltip player_id="900334" first="Jay" last="Jackson"], 6’5 SF Pennington
