<p>Here are five worthy newcomers in the 2021 player rankings.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1121282" first="Cal" last="Green"]</strong>, <strong>Houston</strong>: The 6-foot-7 small forward landed at No. 39 in the updated rankings. Green is a great catch-and-shoot wing with a great shot release. He’s always ready to shoot. Green has bounce as well, so he tends to be ready for takeoff whenever the lane is open for him to do so.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1121285" first="Adam" last="Barbieri"]</strong>, <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Benedict</strong>: The 6-0 point guard cracked the top 100 at No. 85. Barbieri does a lot of small things well. Communication is one of his strengths. He always tend to get back on defense, hardly ever caught walking up the floor. Barbieri is a decent ball handler, has a nice shooting touch and his love for the game is obvious.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1121283" first="Landon" last="Smith"]</strong>, <strong>Adamsville</strong>: The 6-6 wing came in at No. 67. Smith’s recruitment has picked up, and it’s because of his ability to score and rebound. He thrives at slashing to the basket. Smith wants to rebound. He’s always in position for it. Smith can make shots from deep. He has the making of a nice player at the next level.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1121284" first="Jordan" last="Coleman"]</strong>, <strong>Collierville</strong>: Coleman thrives in the open court, an area he’s at his best. Coleman knows how to finish at the rim. He can make shots from the perimeter. Coleman doesn’t mind playing defense. He checked in at No. 77.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1121288" first="Austin" last="Abernathy"]</strong>, <strong>Fayette Academy</strong>: Abernathy is only 5-8, but he’s valuable to the Vikings. His value lies on the offensive end. He checks in at No. 134. Abernathy doesn’t get the love he should get for his shooting. The undersized shooting guard is a sniper. Abernathy can get hot from 3 at any moment. His teammates just have to hit him when he’s in shooting motion.</p>
