With February just around the corner, the season is winding down and it will be state tourney time before we know it. So which players should be in the running for NC Player of The Year Awards? Look no further, we have you covered!

Reidsville HS Senior [player_tooltip player_id="838018" first="Breon" last="Pass"] has been on a mission this season, putting up video game numbers and leading his team to a 4-1 record. In 5 games he’s averaging: 34.4 Points, 14.4 Rebounds, 6.6 Assist & 2.3 Steals. Considering that he’s only about 6’1, it’s pretty impressive that he’s able to have an impact in so many ways on the court.

Westover HS Guard [player_tooltip player_id="839121" first="D’Marco" last="Dunn"] has quietly been putting together a nice season overall and remains one of the more efficient players in the state. Dunn is averaging 23.8 Points , 10.4 Rebounds and 2.4 steals per game while leading Westover to a 4-1 record. He has a smooth stroke and does a nice of getting his offense without much overdribbling and playing within the flow of the team offense.

Farmville Central Guard [player_tooltip player_id="574409" first="Terquavion" last="Smith"] is one of the more intense players that you will see in the state. He’s always excited to play and didn’t waste any time this season getting going. Smith is averaging 27.4 Points, 4.8 Rebounds & 3 Steals per game with Farmville remaining undefeated at 5-0.

North Davidson HS Guard [player_tooltip player_id="574478" first="Jamarien" last="Dalton"] has been one of the top performers on the western side of the state with his team holding a 5-0 record at this point. The 6’3 Senior has been flat out getting it done offensively averaging 29.4 Points per game while snatching down 5.6 Rebounds per contest. He has committed to Elon to play football but he’s proven himself as an outstanding player on the hardwood as well.

The Burlington School Guard [player_tooltip player_id="838021" first="Jamarii" last="Thomas"] has played the most games out of this group of prospects with his team playing 20 games so far. Thomas has faced all types of challenges and matchups this season and has done a nice job of holding his own in just about all of those top matchups. He’s averaging over 20 PPG and recently passed the 1,000 Point mark for career this week, Thomas has already committed to UNCW and should be a nice fit for the Seahawks next season.
