Which guards caught my eye this week?

[player_tooltip player_id="1024439" first="Logan" last="Baumgartner"] - Medford - 2023: A strong 2023 prospect I watched a few weeks ago. He didn’t post his best numbers but has since rebounded. He scored 32 this week against Chippewa Falls. The lengthy, versatile forward has yet to settle on the position spectrum. He can drive and play physical but looks confident and comfortable everywhere on the floor. Someone to keep an eye on during the summer and school season.

[player_tooltip player_id="880035" first="Ronald" last="Kirk"] Jr. - Dominican - 2021: Kirk has stepped up this season, capitalizing on the flashes of potential we’ve seen his whole career. This week he posted another notable stat line with 30 points against Martin Luther. The explosive, physical prospect is the perfect athlete for the next level, and now that his skill is translating into a major statistical year, scouts should not hesitate to offer him.

[player_tooltip player_id="801146" first="Max" last="Weisbrod"] - DeForest - 2022: Weisbrod put up a season-high 19 points in his third game of the season. As a bigger player with an effortless playstyle, he was able to isolate freely and hit a handful of triples. He is turning into a solid all-around college prospect in his junior season.

Brenden Weis - Janesville Parker - 2021: The 6’6” guard is averaging nearly 17 points a game this season. He’s an intriguing prospect with his height and frame. A great defender that’s valuable on the help and weak side. He’s been a tad inefficient but he can shoot from outside.

Robert DeLong - Janesville Parker - 2021: A streaky scorer at guard who can really score when he’s on. In his best games, he can shoot nearly 20 shots while still maintaining a high field goal percentage.

[player_tooltip player_id="701998" first="Donald" last="McHenry"] - Milwaukee Academy Of Science - 2021: McHenry has been a sneaky good prospect out of the Milwaukee area. He’s having a breakout season, averaging 26.7 points a night. He’s super shifty and can break down the defense in isolation. Liked what I saw from him in the fall from a perimeter scoring standpoint, too. Not a guy that will hurt your offensive flow either, as he is a pure playmaker.
