Tuesday Night Standouts

<p>Tuesday night was packed with great matchups and top prospects displaying their talent. Prep Hoops Wisconsin lists eight players who made their mark: </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="879986" first="Tanner" last="Resch"] -- 2021 -- PG -- Sussex Hamilton</strong></p> <p>Thought that Sussex Hamilton was just [player_tooltip player_id="544570" first="Patrick" last="Baldwin Jr."]? Think again. Without the top-ranked prospect in Wisconsin’s 2021 class, Resch stepped up and scored 39 points to lead the Chargers to a huge victory over Germantown. Don’t sleep on this talented point guard. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="935491" first="Jonah" last="Rindfleisch"] -- 2021 -- F -- Wisconsin Lutheran </strong></p> <p>In a win over West Allis Central, Rindfleisch jumped off the screen and was super impressive. The 6-foot-8 forward led his team in scoring with 21 points and 9 rebounds in the 70-65 win. He was a terrific scorer around the basket and I believe that he could develop into a great player in college. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="879993" first="Hayden" last="Doyle"] -- 2021 -- SG -- Brookfield East</strong></p> <p>Doyle is a prospect that you want on your team. He plays tough defense, scores the ball at all three levels, and is just a great teammate. In Brookfield East’s win over Brookfield Central, Doyle scored 21 points, 17 of which came in the second half. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="804951" first="Jaqunis" last="Rhodes"] -- 2021 -- PG -- West Allis Central</strong></p> <p>Rhodes has shown some flashes of his potential while playing for Wisconsin United on the AAU Circuit. On Tuesday night, he looked better than ever. He scored 22 points on six made field goals, including nine free throws. I would encourage smaller college programs to keep a close eye on Rhodes. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="801136" first="Maximus" last="Nelson"] -- 2022 -- SF -- Appleton North</strong></p> <p>Nelson is a prospect that is slowly developing his game. The small forward is a great outside shooter, and he has shown improvement around the paint. In a one-point victory over Oshkosh North, Nelson put up 25 points.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="950096" first="Donovan" last="Short"] -- 2022 -- PF -- Denmark</strong></p> <p>Because he plays for a smaller school, Short probably doesn’t get enough attention. But, if he continues to play at a high level, there is no doubt that the power forward will earn some more attention. On Tuesday, Short tallied 42 points in a close loss to Luxemburg-Casco. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="879995" first="Brock" last="Heffner"] -- 2021 -- PF -- Grafton</strong></p> <p>After a very strong summer, Heffner looks to be dominating the competition in his senior season. The athletic power forward prospect recorded 34 points for Grafton in a winning effort over Homestead. I believe that IUPI got a steal in Heffner</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="801139" first="Christopher" last="Morgan"] -- 2022 -- PG -- Kaukauna </strong></p> <p>Morgan is a prospect that I have been pleasantly surprised by this season. Because Kaukauna had so many guards last season, Morgan was forced to sit in the backseat. But in his junior season, the point guard seems to be hitting his stride. He had an incredible 39 point performance last night in a win over Appleton East. </p>
