Top Week 3 Performers: Omaha Area

<p>Here are the top performances from Week #3 of Nebraska High School Basketball Action from prospects who attend high schools in the Omaha area. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="890479" first="Saint" last="Thomas"]- 6’7 Senior/Millard North</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="890479" first="Saint" last="Thomas"] has gotten off to a blazing start for his senior campaign, leading the Millard North Mustangs to their current record of 7-0 and a Top 25 National ranking. In his first game of the week against Omaha South, Thomas notched a Triple Double, scoring a game-high 29 points on 11-17 shooting from the field, including 5-10 from 3 point range, as well as exactly 10 rebounds and 10 assists to complete the triple-double. On Saturday night against Lincoln East, Thomas once again reached double digits in multiple categories, notching 14 points and 11 rebounds in a road win for the Mustangs. Thomas is one of the top uncommitted 2021 prospects not just in the state of Nebraska but in the Midwest as a whole. His game has grown a ton over the past year extending his range to the perimeter and beyond, he has changed his body as well. Credit to Saint for the hard work he has put in, as well as the hot start to his senior campaign. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1018738" first="Connor" last="Millikan"]- 6’0 Sophomore Guard/Platteview</strong></p> <p>Plattview sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="1018738" first="Connor" last="Millikan"] had himself a week last week and is solidifying himself as one of the top names to watch in Nebraska for the class of 2023. He started off the week with a Tuesday night stat line of 35 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in a win over Beatrice where he played the entire game. He followed it up with another stat sheet stuffing performance against Omaha Gross, notching 29 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Millikan is efficient in his scoring, taking smart jump shots, making the right cuts to the rim, and shooting a good percentage from the free-throw line when he gets there. In simple terms, he’s a bucket getter, and it will be very fun to watch him develop throughout the rest of his high school career. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="890463" first="Denim" last="Johnson"]- 6’0 Senior Guard/Omaha Central </strong></p> <p>Another one of the top uncommitted 2021 prospects in Nebraska, [player_tooltip player_id="890463" first="Denim" last="Johnson"] has been a human highlight reel so far this season at Omaha Central. In a Friday night tilt against Papillion La-Vista South, which I was lucky enough to attend in person, Johnson was all over the court for the Eagles. Finishing with 20 points on 9-13 shooting to go along with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals, Johnson finished strongly at the rim all night long, uses his fantastic athleticism to blow by defenders. He used his strength and quickness on the defensive end as well, spending the majority of his time on the floor defending players 6 or 7 inches taller than him from perimeter to post. Johnson is one of the most athletic players in the state and will be a must-watch for the rest of the season. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1035619" first="Aidan" last="Graham"]- 6’3 Senior Guard/Papillion-LaVista </strong></p> <p>In a Friday night tilt with Omaha Northwest, senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1035619" first="Aidan" last="Graham"] came out firing and put on a show for the Monarch in a 78-35 victory. He finished with 23 points on the night on 9-13 shooting, which included an impressive 4-5 mark from beyond the arch. He also tallied 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals on the night to stuff the stat sheet. Graham has been all over the court so far this year, doing a little bit of everything for the Monarchs on this young season.
